embiggen Posted June 19, 2008 Share Posted June 19, 2008 I watched some of it last night and was pretty tearful. my husband has been very emotional because he has been watching him for 17 years. what about that double rainbow outside as everyone was exiting as "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was playing on his ipod. that's was pretty cool! Twisted Acres Posted June 19, 2008 Share Posted June 19, 2008 It was a pretty moving service that they aired yesterday... Mike Barnacle had me laughing and in tears at the same time. When Springsteen played "Thunder Road," I choked up completely. Russert seemed such a regular guy; yesterday's service proved it. It was like sending off a friend.
