remphish1
Wow this must have been scary... http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/09/2...rash/index.html
Wendy
Tragic news. My 17-year-old nephew is a huge Blink-182 fan and this will make him so sad. My brother and I took him and his young buddies to see them in Indy a few years ago, and although I'm not a fan, I definitely appreciated that guy's skills behind a drum kit. I hope he recovers quickly but burns almost always lead to scar formation which would probably limit his skills. Man, this sucks.
EL the Famous
say what you want about Blink-182, he is an incredible drummer. even since he was w/ the aquabats. sad stuff, hope he pulls through.
Mrs. Peel
The details are horrifying. I really hope he pulls through. I wouldn't wish what he's going through on anyone.
a.miller
No question that he's a super talented guy. No way Blink 182 makes it as big without him. Some of the stuff he did on Enema of the State was just outstanding.
kidsmoke
It's a pure miracle those two made it out alive, from the descriptions of the crash. Terrifying stuff. I hope they'll be ok in the long haul. For now I wish them strong pain meds and first-rate doctors. God bless.
stooka
His performances on the MTV VMAs were terrific. I was talking to a buddy about him yesterday.I'm glad he survived, but this is horrendous.
solace
i hung out w/ Travis about a decade ago when my college put on a show with Blink and Less Than Jake, dude was seriously the nicest and most down to earth rock star i'd met at the time... on the other hand, Mark & Tom were the most annoying, immature, and perverted dudes i'd ever met. they had no shame in trying to get 14-15 year old girls to show them their tits while on their bus... regardless what you think of Blink 182's music, pretty sad... amazing that he and DJ AM were the only 2 survivors
kidsmoke
Hearing that makes it even sadder. I hope they make it.
bobbob1313
I'm an un-selfconsciously huge Blink 182 fan. this makes me really sad, he was a really talented drummer.
Gobias Industries
I used to be all into the blink-182 stuff and I'm not anymore, but this is terrible news. He is one of the most technically proficient drummers to be around today, and quite possibly one of the best technically, period. Vibes to him and DJ AM for some speedy recoveries. watch me fall
This is still all so surreal to me...that it happened in my hometown. Just a really weird feeling. Some of the eyewitness accounts I've read are just horrific and I still can't believe that the plane didn't hit anyone on Highway 302. It's a heavily travelled road but I guess the time of night helped. My heart goes out to those who lost their lives and their families and major vibes to Travis and DJ AM. Everyone around here knows it's not a good sign when someone is taken to Augusta, but it is one of the best burn centers in the country. I hope they make it. Apparently they were both walking around and talking after the crash so hopefully that's a good sign?
watch me fall
This is good news! Today's News Looks like they will both fully recover from their injuries. Next comes the emotional part. That's got to be tough.
lamradio
This hits home with me too.. I just played a show in Columbia yesterday. I'm glad they are going to recover, but that's terrible about the other people on the plane.
