dchunt11
I noticed Glenn is playing in NYC with Kronos on 12/05 and Wilco is playing in Toronto on the same night. Does anyone know how they're going to do this?
TCP
Brian Burke now plays drums for every band that comes to Toronto. It's a new by-law that was part of his contract with MLSE.

barnyard pimp
I'm incredibly curious!! First show is tonight, right? Can't wait to see Wilco & Neil's set lists...
u2roolz
Yeah, I am pretty excited too. I was at home looking for some Twitter updates since I was bored and kind of run down. I don't know when to expect reviews for this show to roll in on VC. Not sure how many people on here are from Nova Scotia.I found this guy's page that has a pic of the stage setup. http://twitpic.com/p2oa Sorry twitter dude. Thank google. Anyways, I think the most exciting thing for me is to obviously finally get to see Neil Young on what is being heralded as a real return to form type of show.Close second is that Wilco is opening the show in Worcester, MA. Now I read some reviews that Everest plays a relatively short opening set and that Death Cab For Cutie played 50 minutes. So the obvious need to know here is "how long will Wilco play for and will there be any Neil/Wilco duets." I mean hey 50 minutes is pretty generous and just enough to make you want some more. Not to mention this is quite a double bill that for me at least hasn't quite sunk in. Thanks, Kristofor PS I'd like to see how they pull off the whole Glenn thing too. Maybe they have some technology stolen from Star Trek where they can beam him in.
Dreamin'
Not sure how many people on here are from Nova Scotia.I think there are a few Maritimers on VC. I *heart* Halifax!
barnyard pimp
still no word from wilco about this? i guess they dont really need to make an announcement, i'm just curious! and hopeful it will inspire something unique...

replacements75
I too was really curious about this because I'm going to The Kotche/ Kronos gig and am really looking forward to it. I was so curious in fact that I contacted both Carnegie Hall and Wilco's management. And while I don't have copies of the emails anymore (being totally anal and paranoid I emailed them months ago when I first noticed the schedule conflict). I was assured by both that Glenn would be in NYC for tonight's event. Seeing as how Glenn is scheduled to give a discussion prior to the show, it seemed fairly certain that he would need to be there. As for what's going on with Wilco tonight is still anyone's guess as I didn't inquire as to that. I hope someone who is going to Toronto's show will let us all know. barnyard pimp
well, this situation resulted in one of the most unique wilco shows i've ever seen! it was so much fun and i really think the band did better than the previous night, with glenn! but i'll chalk that up to jeff's flu...
