Lammycat
For me, it's Diet Pepsi, iced tea, or coffee for the most part. And anyone that tells me Coke tastes better than Pepsi is just proof that they have been hoodwinked by a masterful marketing campaign over the course of their entire lives. Because it really isn't even close. (Especially the diet versions.)This is a joke, right? Pepsi is one step away from being generic, overly-sweet, lipstick-y bunk. * No offense to the poster named The Bunk.

A strong majority of the participants picked Coke, but she kept telling them they'd picked Pepsi.

Atticus
As a "southerner," I do not know what you people are referring to by the terms "soda" or "pop"
Sir Stewart
We call that stuff "tonic" in these parts.
jakobnicholas
I don't drink much pop. 95% of the time I drink water. But Coca-Cola is the king of sodas. Specifically, Coca-Cola from a McDonalds's fountain. I'm convinced McDonald's mixture has more syrup....it tastes so damn good.
cryptique
I miss the days of my youth, when I could crack open an ice-cold 16-ounce glass bottle of Coca-Cola, revel in that mist of vapor and aroma that wafted out of the mouth of the bottle, and then enjoy the tastiest carbonated beverage ever created. Sadly, I just can't handle the sugar anymore, and I haven't seen a domestically produced 16-oz. (or larger) glass bottle of Coke in decades.
andshewas
My French teacher last year always told us that there was a hierarchy of awesomeness when it came to Coca-cola. McDonald's was always the best, followed by Burger King, then the bottled stuff, and so on. I can't say I love any of the mass-marketed sodas, but I've been drinking a lot of Sprite at work these days. I think I like the relative cleanliness of its flavor. My favorite soda, though, has to be the Sprecher cream soda. It's heaven in a bottle. It's so honey-vanilla-y and yummmmyyyyyyyyyyyy... Sir Stewart
Coke in a can > Coke in a bottle (plastic or glass)
cryptique
Coke in a can > Coke in a bottle (plastic or glass)In my personal opinion, you could not be more wrong -- about glass. can vs. plastic bottle ... meh.
OOO
I have a deep hatred for IBC root beer, because when I order root beer at a restaurant and they bring out an IBC, I realize that I'm not getting a free refill

I'm convinced McDonald's mixture has more syrup....it tastes so damn good.Actually, it is indeed a special mix. Top-secret even. Coke has their standard fountain mix, and restaurants can order a unique concoction if they so please. I agree McD's coke is the best.

Lammycat
You know you can make your own "McD's" Coke at home simply by filling a paper cup to the top with ice and adding 2/3 Coke with 1/3 water.
Sir Stewart
But I don't have beef water at home.
