LenF
I don't consider myself a huge Ween fan but I have seen them twice and enjoyed both shows. I have tix to Charlotte show because of a couple of friends who are huge Ween fans and because it's a Saturday night, which always makes it more enticing to attend a show. lamradio
I'd probably go if it was Ween (full band) and not just Gene Ween.. I heard they put on an amazing show.
tangara
I caught the show at Schubas last month. I'm just a casual Ween fan, but it was pretty amazing.
Lammycat
Ween are awesome. Not sure about the Gener band, though. Never heard the stuff. And: I wonder if Todd's Place (in New Haven) is anything like Toad's Place (in New Haven).
chanman1128
I have seen Ween eight times...this will be first time seeing GWB. I downloaded one of their shows and they sound really good...play a bunch of ween stuff and some covers.
froggie
have they actually had a career after Push the little daises?. they're referred to as one hit wonders in Australia
Moe_Syzlak
have they actually had a career after Push the little daises?. they're referred to as one hit wonders in AustraliaThat's okay; that's the way we think of Men At Work and Midnight Oil. Serioulsy though, check out Chocolate and Cheese through Quebec. They haven't made a bad album until La Cucaracha (and some people like that one).
lamradio
have they actually had a career after Push the little daises?. they're referred to as one hit wonders in Australia Wow, that's pretty sad. I mean I guess that was their "hit", but they have had a strong following for 15 or so years now in the states. Incredible musicians.

Incredible musicians. its the same with Flaming Lips.... if it wasnt for this site, i wouldnt see past She Dont Use Jelly!

It was cool to see Ween and the Flaming Lips at the Greek and Red Rocks together a few years ago though.

lamradio
My friends and I once had a conversation; if everyone had a theme music, what would it be? Mine would be Freedom '76 by Ween. I can just picture myself strolling down the street with that song playing in background...
Lammycat
I always like to put a finger on top of my head and spin around in a circle while doing a little jig during the carnival music part in "Roses are Free."
tangara
have they actually had a career after Push the little daises?. they're referred to as one hit wonders in Australia I would say they're more of a cult favorite than a mainstream act, but yeah, they've got a pretty big (and rabid) following here. They were one of the headliners at Lollapalooza '06.
Lammycat
Plus, they've gotten to be better musicians over the years. Different from when they started out, for sure. They take themselves seriously and can play their instrument well.
