Gabe32
my friend called me up while he was at the phillies game on friday to tell me that jamie moyer walks out to some wilco song. so when he got back i went through all the songs that i thought it could have been, and he recognized "i got you." needless to say, jamie moyer is my new favorite philly. i have suspicions he walks out to wilco because he is secretly john stirratt (and also, the dad from "boy meets world.") moyerhttp://detectovision.com/pics/Jamie_Moyer.gif stirratthttp://wpcontent.answers.com/wikipedia/com...hn_Stirratt.jpg the dad from "boy meets world"http://www.wchstv.com/abc/boymeets/williamruss.jpg

He's a lefty without a great fastball but he throws strikes and always seems to be a solid contributor. I *think* he even may be the oldest if not one of the oldest pitchers in the league. cryptique
I *think* he even may be the oldest if not one of the oldest pitchers in the league. He's the oldest player in the majors. I think Randy Johnson is the next oldest. I'm just glad there are still a couple of guys older than me out there.

Wilco2332
Well this is cool, even though I'm a fan of the Phillies crosstown team the Pirates, I've always liked Moyer and now I have a lot more admiration for him. Good song choice too.
Guest Hollinger.
87 TOPPS! WOOD PANELING! I am covering a bigass set of cabinets in my basements with 87 Topps cards.
bobbob1313
I'd like Moyer a lot more if the Marlins could ever figure out how to hit him.
Duck-Billed Catechist
He's married to Digger Phelps' daughter....and that is her in the pic. Although apparently it's from 2003. She's not sporting the guns in most pics.

tugmoose
I was at the game Saturday when he was going for win No. 250 vs. Mets, but I was off at the team shop with my nephew when it played. My niece's boyfriend (left) is a huge Wilco fan and he caught it. Here's the Moyer family after the WS, when they gave him the pitching rubber (no contraceptive jokes, please). Basil II
Jamie Moyer still makes his home in Seattle.........the dumbest move of the former M's GM Bavasi ever made was giving up Moyer. I've talked to him several times .....mostly about 2005 Bordeaux wine special orders he has made with us. Wilco fan?? doesn't suprise me!!!! Jamie, if you log on here.........I still have lots 2005 Mouton and select others hangin' around!!! -Robert
lessthanyouthink
They also play a clip from the song Walken at Phillies home games when someone is walked to first base. Actually it's the begininng of the song that goes "I'm Walken all by myself".
