remphish1
Considering over half of the world's population lies in these continents I find it strange that artist from these continents rarely make a splash in America culture. What are your favorite bands from these continents? The only bands I can think of are Asia: Cibo MattoPuffy Ami YumiElectric Eel ShockBoris Africa: Youssou N'Dour South America:Sinergia Help me expand my horizons! bedbug
If you want your world completely funked up, I recommend checking out this band from Africa called Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou Dahomey. Sometimes labeled as T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rhythmo. Prepare to become obsessed:

jff
Asia: Puffy Ami YumiElectric Eel Shock So, Puffy Ami Yumi are good? I see their cds at the library all the time, but have always passed them over. I think the "cute factor" tricked me into thinking the music couldn't possibly be any good. Now I'll probably never see their cds again. My old band opened for Electric Eek Shock several years ago. They were really incredible. Good call.
