Yeah, they did a tour thing together and I saw them in Columbus. I'm not sure if it'll be a similar format, but Nels did a long 40-minute session by himself, then Glenn did his set, and then they did a set together. It was totally rad, I might add. It'll be a pleasure to see/hear, you don't have to worry about that.

They were also in Lexington (same mini-tour, I think) and I saw them. Glenn played much of Mobile (with crickets!), and chatted a little. He went to the University of Kentucky here, so it was a bit of a homecoming for him. Played in the same hall where he did his recital, I think he said. I think he played an hour or so. Nels played a little less than that. Then they played a couple long-ish pieces together. I wasn't familiar with Nels' non-Wilco stuff so it was pretty interesting. Sparse crowd, really nice evening. You're definitely in for a treat.

Speaking of Nels and Glenn...Nels' website is showing that he'll play with On Fillmore at the Cultural Arts Center in Chicago on June 28. Road trip! :dancing

I saw that today too, which is awesome because I will be home then in the Chicago area.

Expect a good time with some challenging music.

The Cultural Center huh? Hope it is in Preston Bradley Hall. That would be cool. it doesn't appear to be listed on that website yet. Stuff is always (almost) free there too. (Unless the Cultural Arts Center is somewhere different, since I have never heard it refered to as that.)

The Cultural Center production with On Fillmore and Nels is actually part of the Downtown Sound Series at Millennium Park. So it will indeed be free, but not exactly Preston Bradley Hall. Here's more info, including the full Downtown Sound lineup for the summer:
