Preferred B
Yes! It was such a fun show all around. More Synthesizer Patel! And my first time seeing Kicking Television since ... I don't even remember the last time. It feels odd to have no idea when I might see Wilco again, but this was a great show to end on for now. It was lovely seeing my Scottish friends, and meeting some new folks too. Barrowland Ballroom is quite a sight when the sign is lit up:
mdpoet
Nice to see you guys got KT. Hope it stays in the set for a few more shows.
50footqueenie
Yes Scotland did Wilco proud and Wilco duly responded in kind! What a show!!!! It was great to see a full Barrowlands giving such a response to the band, but they deserved it with some of the most impassioned playing I've seen. It had better not be another three years until they come back to Scotland! Anyway good to see BK and Bbop survived the no mean city. We're now getting ready for the next leg: Mission: Impossible Germany!
Scott Might Be Wrong
Incredible gig last night, any chance anyone caught it on tape?
Turnips
nice setlist, a lot of songs I've never heard live and would LOVE to - Airline, One By One, Muzzle of Bees sounds like it was a great show
froggie
It was lovely seeing my Scottish friends, and meeting some new folks too. were any of the new folks from Melbourne?
Preferred B
Indeed! We feel we're part of an exclusive club, having both met froggie. One other show detail: Pat and Glenn came out to play with Phil Selway and his band for "The Ties That Bind Us." It sounded great.

Wirralgir1
Hi from a newbie - fresh from seeing the band for only the second time, the first being the Indian Summer festival set. All 3 of us loved the set, and there aren't too many bands my husband and son are happy to go and see with me.I thought the sound was great, and the Barras is an excellent venue.Great crowd too
Rock Pools
Two great nights in Newcastle and Glasgow. Glasgow was an amazing show and I'm still floating. Very special meeting Paul and Brianne too. Hope to see them in Melbourne next time. Froggie, I felt you there in spirit and thought you might have had a good laugh when some guy in the Glasgow crowd shouted out "Hey Jeff, git yer willy Oot!"

bböp
Two great nights in Newcastle and Glasgow. Glasgow was an amazing show and I'm still floating. Very special meeting Paul and Brianne too. Hope to see them in Melbourne next time. Wonderful to meet you, too, Fiona! Would absolutely love to get to Melbourne next time (and finally meet that Froggie character)... I think Glasgow has surely been the best of the four shows I've seen on this run so far. The entire band, and Jeff in particular, seemed almost determined to play well that night. Impossible Germany was even more transcendent than usual, and Kicking Television (with Jeff on a white Epiphone) was a great conclusion. Barrowlands certainly had some character to it, and that didn't hurt. It reminded me a little of the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines. Both were dance halls at one time and though some might see them as a bit run down, they still retain some sense of their past, which is fine by me.
