Guest Speed Racer
Won't they have egg on their face when dBpm rejects one of their albums.
Kalle
maybe with the new record label WB/Nonesuch will put out the B-Side compilations people have been clamoring for. If Wilco owns their masters, which I suspect they do (Warner probably gave them to them when they left and it was probably negotiated with Nonesuch to keep them), we probably won't see anymore Wilco releases coming from Nonesuch again. Basically, we're not going to see what Capitol has done to the Radiohead back catalogue with re-releases and best of's unless Wilco releases these things themselves. Bosco
I just noticed on ANTI's homepage, under upcoming releases, they have Wilco: TBAComing January 1, 2012 That's album title is friggin' genius! The cover is perfect, I can't wait to hear what it sounds like, I just don't like having to wait until NEXT January to get it, albums come out on Tuesdays, and January 1st is on a weekend next year, I think Tuesday is on the 3rd, so now I wonder, hmmmm. mahinty
dBpm was the working titile for A Ghost Is Born, John Stirrat even painted a cover for it, you can find it in The Wilco Book. Seing as how A Ghost Is Born is Wilco's most art rock avant rock record or as i would refer to it their best record I am now slightly intrigued at the possible sound of the new record.Seems like Wilco may be upon a new age? a new evolution? The Nonesuch years pair down to this, YHF illi-NoisePoPAmericuna record AGISB aVANT rOCKamurika record SBS ROCKAMERICA record WTA PoPAMERICA record . m I write? That photo that came with the press release is the most encouraging thing - they look like a tight band furtively experimenting. I am excited. Is that a drum machine that Mikael is playing with?
