bböp
Personally, I vote for the band hitting the casino circuit a little more often! We got a surprisingly rockin' show, complete with an audible into Outtasite>Hoodoo to close it out (the printed setlist had I'm Always In Love and Hummingbird). Definitely an odd venue, complete with rows of cushioned booths and other tables and a ridiculously wide stage. But the standing crowd around us was pretty lively, even chanting "Eight more songs!" during the encore and cheering during the noise interludes in Via. And Reno-ites even had good taste in requests. Apparently a few wellvotes via Wilcoworld resulted in a nice, er, bustout of the too-rarely played Should've Been In Love. Jeff had some pretty funny casino-related banter, including a line about the show being "the best bang for your buck" and the band "giving away shrimp cocktails." Anyway, here was the complete setlist as played: One Sunday Morning>Poor Places>Art Of AlmostI MightSunken Treasure (Jeff on acoustic; no harmonica)I Am Trying To Break Your HeartKameraImpossible GermanyBorn AloneJesus, etc.Handshake Drugs>Wishful ThinkingShould've Been In LoveWhole LoveHeavy Metal Drummer>I'm The Man Who Loves YouDawned On MeA Shot in the Arm------------------------------Via ChicagoCalifornia Stars--happy birthday sung to Rachel-->WalkenCasino Queen>Outtasite (Outta Mind)>Hoodoo Voodoo (w/ bass/guitar/keyboard tech Josh on cowbell)

Skian
Fantastic! Up front and leaning on the stage with my 12 yr old son,15 yr old daughter and wife. They rocked us good. The Art of Almost blew the roof off the place! Solid show. My kids and wife loved it. Nice venue. Should've Been in Love was the sweet icing. Hoodoo Voodoo rocked! What a great birthday present! pnêyu
An odd venue in a tertiary market turned out to be a really good time, thanks to the energy of the crowd and the band. I'm pretty sure the young fanboys next to me had hearts in their eyes at certain parts of the performance. But the low, waist-level stage gave us two runners: a tweaking lady who tried to get the setlist while the crew was readying for the encore and a second younger guy who thought he could do the same at the end of the gig. Let's just say the rolling lady contributed to my gambling losses for the weekend, as I incorrectly wagered she'd be able to keep it together during the otherwise awesome show. Also, unbeknownst to many of us, an entire jet lurked behind the stage, obscured by Wilco's stage decorations! It didn't quite make up for missing the Space Shuttle flying around the Bay Area this weekend, but I'll take what I can get.
