Some favorite moments from Saturday Night Live. Yes, haters, I think there are still some.

Martin Short was terrific last night. I was in stitches during "You're a Rat Bastard, Charlie Brown" and "The Royal OBGYNs." Outstanding.

Agreed. I thought the entire show was really good. Watched it again the next day!

Yeah, Martin did a good job. The show usually works better when a real comedian hosts I find.

Natalie Portman's tap and Queen Latifah's Excedrin Racial Tension headaches are amazing.

Chris Farley's "van down by the river" bit was never, ever funny. Whatever talents he had SNL grossly misused.

Oh my god, and the Jennifer Aniston TV country compilation commercial was fucking brilliant. I probably find that on the internet once every three months or so to rewatch it.

A lot of people think so, and they're not wrong, but a running bit that always ends with a man screaming pretty much the same punchline each time (which wasn't funny for me the first time either), really doesn't do it for me.

Didn't they do the sketch only once? I'm only familiar with the one with Christina Applegate. I'm a huge hater of the Spade/Sandler/Farley years on SNL, but that shit was funny, Dick.

Ha, if that's the case then I've basically only watched one episode of SNL from that era approximately a dozen times. :lol Definitely not outside the realm of possibility though.

Like I said, people love it. It's funny to many/most. I just don't dig it.

But funny people are fat, I concede that point.
