The Inside of Outside
Great, great photos. You captured something unique in each performer. Love the Dave Matthews shot; heck I even like your picture of John Mellonhead.

calvino
Listened to the broadcast of Mellencamp, Seeger, and Young (fell asleep before Willie came on) ---- pretty good stuff. Great pic's, too. Neil was his usual Farm Aid crank-crank - he did some nice covers, though. I always been a fan of Mellencamp, his voice is getting rougher and rougher - I am guessing from smoking. I did like his slightly different arrangements of his tunes. It probably would have been cool to watch Seeger perform, but just listening to him was a bit rough - but he was born in 1919, so huge kudos for him for being up there and putting up the good fight. tinnitus photography
funny, the rolling stone review didn't think Mellencamp's voice was affected: Somehow or another, a lifetime of chain-smoking cigarettes hasn't done much to hurt his voice. IRememberDBoon
Tinn what did you think of that Neil Young show being up so close? I watched it online and thought it was wild how he was mic ed up the whole time and he seemed fired up big time.
tinnitus photography
seeing Neil anywhere is great, but up close, to see his mannerisms and moods, is even better. yeah, he was definitely fired up for that show. wish i could have made the press conference in the morning, sounded like a good time. calvino
Neil always seems to be a crank, crank on Farm Aid day, which never takes away from his performances.
IRememberDBoon
I wonder what a solo Jeff Tweedy show would be like with a mic like that. That's definitely something new isn't it?
