  1. I've tried to correct stuff on allmusic.com, but it never gets changed. Their office is here in town. I've thought about driving over there and doing it myself.
  2. You might want to kill those links ... they're in violation of board policy.
  3. The background of that picture almost looks like one of the early scenes from No Country For Old Men.
  4. I have one Tiger on my fantasy roster, and of course it's the fucker who's now 0-for-10 on the year.
  5. The new Breeders. Not really feeling this one. It has a few moments, but...
  6. I did, actually. Worst decision Gore ever made.
  7. Lieberman is a worthless sack of dogshit.
  8. I have some fairly rare vinyl, but it's been so long since I dusted it off that I barely remember what's there anymore. I believe I have a first pressing of Surrealistic Pillow, but I don't think it's that rare. Hmmm. Maybe I should flip through my records tonight. My rarest CD is probably Powerbill by The Semantics. Never released in the U.S., and I doubt there are more than a handful of copies on these shores.
  9. ...which I totally don't understand. I mean, seriously, have you ever been to Bloomington?
  10. Never mind me. I was responding to the first post of the thread, not noticing that A) it was from last year, and later in that post the initial idea of comparing two Vonnegut books was discarded. So, I'm an idiot. Slaughterhouse Five and Catch-22 could work quite nicely, except that I imagine most profs have read multiple papers comparing those two books over the years.
  11. There's a link up there that will tell you.
  12. Personally, I'd avoid comparing two novels by the same author, but that's just me. I might make an exception if it were a case of an early-career novel vs. a late-career novel that clearly shows a progression in the author's philosophy, writing style, etc.
  13. Thanks, that works. It limits the number of buttons you can have, though, which is retarded. That address bar is mighty big ... not sure why they don't allow me to shrink it a bit to make room for one more button.
  14. You're in a pretty small minority, Moe. Matrices are virtually always better than straight SBD, in my experience. In fact, I don't think I've ever personally heard an example where this was not the case.
  15. Those are the best ones. My girlfriend's a runner, and she saw this one somewhere this morning:
  16. I forwarded that to a number of colleagues, not revealing anything in my message (but not making it sound real either), and two of them e-mailed me back expressing disbelief that Google would do such a thing. Look at the calendar, people.
  17. I have a sinking feeling that this will be another year of not getting nearly enough bang for an awful lot of bucks.
  18. I meant to mention earlier: the hyphen actually goes between Scott and Heron.
  19. A classic from the SI archives
  20. Most of the things that bother me about it are things I grew to love in Firefox but are missing in Safari ... like the customizable search field. It looks like Safari gives you two choices: Google or Yahoo. I want stuff like AllMusic, Amazon, Dictionary.com, IMDb, and Wikipedia. Also, I haven't found a "Home" button anywhere. Yeah, CTRL+SHIFT+H works, but I click back to my home page a lot and I'm accustomed to using a toolbar button for that. Not a big deal, but it's one example of how limited the browser is in terms of customization. Apple thinks it knows better than you how your browser s
