  1. Technically that's two albums.
  2. It would seem that they were encouraging the use of cannabis.
  3. It's an amazing song, and I think it'll be one of the ones that people talk about from this album ... once it's released.
  4. Jesus fucking christ, people. If you don't like A Prairie Home Companion, don't listen to it.
  5. Candy Butchers fucking rule. If you haven't heard these two albums, you should:
  6. Ken Stringfellow of the Posies/Big Star on lead vocals, plus Mitch Easter and a bunch of Aussies, one of whom (Daryl Mather) wrote all the songs. Great stuff.

I can't believe you accused me of being French.

If I didn't so love "Reservations," I'd agree.

No, I was kidding. That's one of the great things about Wilco ... for every one of their albums, there's someone who regards it as their best. I've never cared much for AGIB, personally, but I'm in the minority. YHF is my favorite. Being There comes second. Unless we're talking about order of release, in which case it's: AM BT ST YHF AGIB SBS
  10. Kinda surprising there's been no leaks, though it is still more than two months out.

That's crazy talk. Well, about AGIB anyway.
  12. I'm not saying it's fair or rational. That's just the way it is.
  13. In my opinion, Neko's been somewhat better live the times I've seen her than she was on that ACL set, but that's nitpicking. She's still awesome, and I'm glad they released that recording.
  14. Jeter played on four Yankees World Series championship teams, though, so he's given something of a pass, at least compared to A-Rod, who's achieved exactly bupkus in the postseason so far.
  15. I'm sure you could make it there on a jet ski.
  16. It's more like "this is the highest-paid player in baseball, he should produce..."
  17. Yeah, but when people bitch about A-Rod, the issue isn't what New York's paying him, but what he's being paid overall.
  18. A-Rod's salary, 2004 - 2006: 2004: $22,000,000 2005: $26,000,000 2006: $21,680,727 Giambi's salary, 2004 - 2006: 2004: $12,428,571 2005: $13,428,571 2006: $20,428,571
  19. Here are A-Rod's stats for the 35 postseason games in which he's played... G: 35 AB: 132 R: 19 H: 37 2B: 9 3B: 0 HR: 6 RBI: 16 BB: 15 SO: 32 BA: .280 OBP: .362 SLG: .485 SB: 4 CS: 3 SH: 1 SF: 0 HBP: 2 The guy's hitting .280 overall in the postseason. That becomes .285 if you ignore 1995, when he had two postseason at-bats and went 0 for 2. A lot of his problem is that he's 3 for 29 (.103) in his last two postseasons. In his previous three postseasons (only one of which was as a Yankee), he went 34 for 101 (.337) with 6 home runs and 16 RBIs in 24 games, slugging .594 during that time. Th
