She's not even the first sportswriter to do that. Christina Kahrl of Baseball Prospectus made the same transition.

BeMyDemon says "bomb." The previous line is "A watch that ticks is wrapped around my wrist," so that kind of makes sense.

I like A.M. better than all of these. Of the ones I deleted from your list, I either like those better or don't know them. A.M. was a great debut, but it wasn't even Jeff's best. No Depression was better. Here are a few other superior debuts that come to mind... (in my opinion, naturally) The Band The Beautiful South Big Star The Clash Elvis Costello Marshall Crenshaw Jimi Hendrix Iron & Wine The Jesus & Mary Chain Led Zeppelin Moby Grape Graham Parker Tom Petty R.E.M. Stiff Little Fingers Television The Velvet Underground

So, they fired Carlisle. That dude just can't get a break. He could coach my team any day.

No, I think this is the Grammer blog site, but it's currently on hiatus.

I understand the need for the rule, but if they actually apply it in this case, MLB will have a lot more than Al Sharpton pissed off at them.

I think this is her: ...though I couldn't swear to it. Also, Salon seems to have misspelled her name in this morning's column. It's actually "Havrilesky." -

This little piggy With Alec Baldwin's latest travails, the world wonders, "What's so wrong about name-calling, stupid?" By Heather Havrilevsky, Salon.com Apr. 25, 2007 | This little piggy went to a bunch of great parties, This little piggy stayed home. This little piggy had a new hit sitcom on NBC, This little piggy had none. This rude, thoughtless little piggy cried, "Wee wee wee!" all the way to her publicist's office. Last week, thanks to a voice mail Alec Baldwin left for his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, leaked to TMZ.com, in which he calls her a "rude, thoughtless litt -
Wow, am I reading that right? "Brown Sugar Cinnamon Ice Cream Loaded with Gingerbread Cookies & a Ginger Caramel Swirl"? That sounds fantastic. Sadly, it's listed in the 'Flavor Graveyard.'

So, with the Yankees not playing so well, is A-Rod now going to be accused of not being a "true Yankee" because he doesn't suck like the rest of them? That guy just can't get anything right.

Alec Baldwin leaves a message for his 11 year old daughter

So, the fact that he's rich is the problem? I just don't understand why anyone cares. There was a planned phone call that a person who happens to be famous made sure he placed, but the recipient didn't pick up. I'd be upset too, if that were me. I probably wouldn't leave the message that Mr. Baldwin left, but I'd definitely be pissed off. So he flew off the handle. Who cares? Have any of you honestly never heard anyone chew out their children this way? There are crappy parents all over the place. Maybe Baldwin is one, maybe not. But why does that matter to you? I'm not here to defend Bal
