  10. virtual: probably too late but the "sound guy's" name is Stan. Terribly nice guy.
  11. edie: thanks to you for selling me your tickets. while I know you would have preferred to go yourself, getting your tickets put me in a great place to tape from! Many thanks. its an audience recording. The info after "source" in the text file I posted refers to my audience rig. I'm sure the webcast got captured by someone although you can't post it at many torrent sites (including etree) because, even though its a soundboard, its compressed audio stream akin to mp3 which they don't allow to be torrented. overall I thought the show was really good. Not as strong as the Charlottesvi
  12. ha, sorry for the confusion. My wife is from Minn and I joking refer to Duluth as "Deloof"
  13. whoa there, nelly. The guitarist at the start of the tour was John Scofield who is one of the most talented modern jazz guitarists in the business. He has played with Mile Davis, Billy Cobhan, George Duke, Bill Frisell, etc... He also recorded a great album "A Go-Go" with Medeski Martin & Wood as his back up band. He's been signed to top jazz labels Verve & Blue Note The guy is a master. Barry Sless then took over after the first run of shows. Sless is the guitarist for the David Nelson Band (who was in the New Riders of the Purple Sage with Garcia). He tone is very crisp & he

  16. if anyone needs any help, I'll be glad to do the flac conversions & post a torrent here or at bt.etree....
  17. here's how I answered that same question on another board: this is a nice recording overall. I'd put that 4/23 Cville show as a solid "A" in terms of the recording quality (and one of the best recordings I have made) and this as maybe a B+. On show quality, its not even close. 4/23 is one of the best wilco shows I have ever seen (definitely best since Nels/Pat joined the band). This one is a decent show but not nearly the same energy, setlist, audience response and is 20 minutes shorter

  20. the 2 guys who taped that show are buddies of mine. Only one ran mics & he doesn't do torrents but I already have a copy of his & will get it up probably by this weekend. I just put up my Charlottesville on etree & have a few otehr shows to get up first

  22. the venue did get a sound upgrade for sure (the sound was f*cking terrible in there last year) but I think Wilco (ie: Stan) did a great job making it meet its full potential even with the improvements. I saw a double bill there 3 nights earlier and the sound didn't even compare to Wilco's. Having seen & taped I'd guess 15 or so wilco shows over the last 3-4 years this was definitely the most energetic and had the best crowd response. 2/19/05 Myrtle Beach & 6/9/04 9:30 Club probably come in right behind it for me. I'll have the torrent up tonight so everyone can see for themselves.
  23. yea man that was me. hit me up later in the week & I'll b7P it for you. I just need to get it converted along with a ton of other shows I did last week.
  24. Great great show last night. I opted for Widespread Panic on Sat in Raleigh instead of Wilco at William & Mary but friends I was with said Cville show was far better than Wm & Mary. Besides me, there was one other taper actually running mics but he doesn't torrent stuff so I'll have mine up hopefully by tomorrow morning. Great energy at the show, a big crowd that was really into the show. I have seen a good number of shows at the venue (which just opened last year) and this was the BEST the sound had ever sounded in there. In fact, I saw Drive By Truckers & Robert Randolph & th
