seriously, where's the singalong? this is the worst wilco non-singalong since detroit last summer.
-
me too, my friend. that and kamera. now, it's pot kettle black and poor places that slay me.
-
is it me or do they sound better than ever? seriously.
-
what a great jam here at the end! loving it!
-
do you think maybe he's not talking so much because of the leg thing...so he can still play a full show in the shortest time possible? i've had friends with stress fractures...they suck.
-
no...he's just gonna rock out and let the music do the talking!
-
ok...anyone comparing setlists? are they all over the place or fairly consistant trackwise? yay, donna! we love you too!
-
i agree...we should all be there! i mean, we are, in spirit, but...you know...
-
i freaking love "the good part"
-
man, how long have they been playing?

thanks for the report, paul. it's killing me that i'm going to miss them this time around! waiting until lolla (which i'm only mildly excited for) and then lansing might be the end of me! my question is, with a title like "impossible germany", are lyrics more abstract?...i don't know how you could be super straightforward lyrically, based on the direction the chorus seems to be going. regardless, thanks for the update, and, to you all, keep those setlists coming in the next few weeks...i want to live vicariously through all of you! at least two.

i don't recall seeing a taper.

duh. i just see that now.

was that other song "tuesday morning"? i could be wrong, but it seems like it was.

what a fun evening! it was great having a great dinner at schuba's (yam fries...yum!) followed by a great show. the court and spark were rockin' (though maybe a slightly weird choice to open for AD, but they have opened for them before, so what do i know?) and the AD sounded amazing...great harmonies. i'm loving the new songs too. pat was pretty dang impressive, playing both piano and guitar in the same song. w and i got a chance to talk to john after the show. he is always so good to us that way. i have to publicly apologize to wendy here, for dying on her somewhere between wanatah

go! i just drove eight hours to see wilco in nashville a month or so ago and have gone as far as nyc by myself to see elvis. i always meet very cool people at shows, so i never really feel alone. plus, on road trips alone, YOU and you alone control the music, which i always love. (seeing that i tend to be an obsessive listener; ex. drove to memphis and back listening only to elvis costello albums a few years back!) plus, if you ask, i am sure there are other vc-er's that would love to meet you there and say hello!

i was so happy to be there last night, even though i have a horrible cold today! (calling in sick turned out to be accurate for once!) before the cold medicine kicks me into a coma, some quick shout-outs: since it hasn't been said already, spiders kicked major ass. even wendy said so, and she isn't usually a huge spiders fan. i thought walken sounded especially good too. the highlight of my night was "i'm always in love"...summerteeth gets me every time. thanks to those in the pit who helped me stay down there for the entire second half of the show. while a lot of the auditorium see

sann-sohn is how i have always said it. then again, people pronounce my name a million ways, so who knows?

the commenting on the crowd is not a new thing. remember in iattbyh in the famous "your sister is cock" clip? jeff is talking about using the word "cock"when, all of the sudden, he stops and says, "whoa, look at your hair!" only a minute or so later, he ties the two together by pointing out the guy and saying, "THAT is cock!" plus, didn't some get called out for an asthma attack at a show? "oh, it's you!" oh wait...that was me.
-
agreed. a very nice man.
-
thanks, paul!

john by cynthia lennon. i can't get away from these dang music books!

i'm a huge fan of this song too...very byrds-ish guitar. one of my personal faves from the mermaid avenue sessions.
