  1. Torrent is up on dime: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=184545
  2. I haven't read any of this thread, but as an NIU grad ('90) my heartfelt condolences to anyone reading this who has suffered from this senseless tragedy.
  3. I always watch Pat at the shows when he's playing guitar. He wants to be a rock star so bad! Clearly enjoys his moments in the spotlight.
  4. Fixed dime link in case anyone missed my edit: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details...iewcomm=2345008
  5. It's up on dime: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details...iewcomm=2345008 edited to fix link.
  6. I first thought that was what Tweedy called them, but then it sounded like Tonal Pros, then I wondered if it was Prose instead of Pros and, well, I'm confused.
  7. It was taped, there were 4 or 5 of us there. Trying to get the correct name of the horn section for the info file.
  8. So, does anyone know the name of the horn section? Tonal Pros? Tonal Prose? Why do horn sections always have to have a goofy name?
  9. That's what I think. Oh well, off I go to stand in line for 3 hours.
  10. There's hundreds more to be pulled in that case, and some have been up for years. Hell, is much nicer (pro shot, looks like someone got it from the blue room stream) and has been up since August 2006... It still shows up in "my videos", and I have no messages from youtube. And I had 56 views in like 10 minutes! Oh well. eta: It's back up again!
  11. It was just from a digital camera, not a video camera. There's tons of others on youtube, even this one from yesterday:
  12. I have no idea... I haven't got any messages from youtube. There's gobs of Wilco vids on youtube, no idea what's going on here.
  13. OK, I've been screwing around the last few hours trying to synch a video from my digital camera to the audio from my rig. Finally got it right I think... Pot kettle black from last night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzQwQd3Dt1A No, I don't have the whole show on video. Just that and one other song.
  14. They have a different $25 poster for each night... unfortunately for me the first one was sold out before I could buy one.
  15. I'll post a few pics before I go to bed: I just love the way Glenn looks in those...
  16. Just got back, after some food at Fiesta Mexicana. Great show tonight, and it was LOUD! My ears are still ringing... Did I mention the Riv was LOUD?
  17. Instead of the Loft, why not visit some other Chicago celebrity houses? Such as Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan's house, and while your there (getting chased away by his private security guards) you can go just around the corner and see Barack Obama's house! See how nervous you can make the Secret Service agents parked outside...
  18. I'll be taping all 5 nights. I've never had a problem bringing a camera into the Riv, but I haven't seen a show there in a while. You can call them before to make sure.
  19. You could probably get away with that, but there is a law in Chicago that a car that hasn't moved in 3 days is considered abandoned and subject to ticket and tow to an impound lot. Realistically, this won't happen unless one of the neighbors calls it in because it's in the spot he usually parks in or some other reason. And be careful of snow routes! Some streets don't allow parking from 2 am to 6 am, snow or no snow.
  20. Just for the hell of it I checked Ticketbastard, there's single tickets available for the Ryman show right now.
  21. The Dead only got a percentage of tickets, you still had a damn good chance of getting shut out of a popular show. I think I only got about half the Deer Creek tickets I mail ordered for. And there were plenty of scalpers of Dead tickets. This was a tough ticket, there's more Wilco fans who want to go at $45 a ticket than there are seats available. And I like the Riv! Beats the hell out of the Aragon and I never feel right at a seated rock show. I don't remember too many people complaining about Lounge Ax, the Riv is like a palace compared to that place (not that I didn't love it!). I'm
  22. Bands actually have little control over ticket sales most times. Ticketbastard has contracts with venues, not bands, to sell tickets. Typically, the band gets ~10% of the tickets (which Wilco sells through their pre-sale), the promoter gets an allotment, the venue gets an allotment, the sponsor (WXRT) gets an allotment. Probably only 60% or so of available tickets for most events are made available to the general public. Oh, and it gets worse for large venues such as the United Center and Soldier Field. Did you know that Bulls/Blackhawks season ticket holders get first crack at all events he
  23. I don't think it was ruined so much as the band simply didn't like it.
  24. The brokers will always have them, so if I were you I'd wait. I have never been shut out from Wilco tickets and have never bought from a scalper. Odds are either someone here will have extras, and I'd bet that more tickets will be released through Ticketbastard a week or 2 before the show, check it often! I got every Auditorium show ticket I ever had* through late releases from Ticketbastard, though I have to admit it's stressful waiting until the last minute like that! And the late release tickets in seated shows are usually very good! *with the exception of the first show of the last run,
