Right. So enticing that he will garner 15-20% of the vote and take the majority of his votes from moderate democrats thereby ensuring a Republican in the white house for the next 4 years. I am going to bed. Someone please wake me up in January 2009.

I don't buy it.

Bloomberg. The Ralph Nader of '08. Wonderful.

Thanks. Where is that from?

I love this album more and more with every listen. He gets so much emotion out of his vocals. It's scary. I was thinking this morning on the way to work: what 3 words are all it takes to break your heart? I hate you?

thanks for the venue suggestions! Man, I can't wait.

What are the venues I should be checking out in Austin at night? Other than Stubb's? Want to be sure that I am prepared for the night shows and don't miss tix going on sale.

This album took a bit of time to grow on me, but it has now completely clicked and I am loving it. Even Halloween Head. Still waiting for NYC tour dates, Mr. Adams. Ahem.

Happy birthday to one of the greats!!

A nice story. And excellent execution. I have never seen a flick like this, and I am glad I saw it. But, I wasn't that crazy about it. Not sure what it was. Just didn't hit me as hard as it seems to have hit others. Seemed a bit forced in spots and the story didn't knock me out. Does anyone know what she said to him in czech when he asked her if she loved her husband?

Either way, I love this song.

Two things: 1. The good guys won last night. 2. Happy to see Sir S's avatar back.

It was a fun show but not my cup of tea. I love their EPs and I think I like the new album more than most. But there was too much jumping around and goofiness on stage. Maybe I was tired from a long week of work, but they seemed incredibly young. Almost, daresay, sophomoric? And the music didnt carry well at Webster Hall. Virtually no harmonies either, so Ramesh was on his own at parts where there should have been backing vocals. That didnt help either, I guess. The experience probably also suffered from the fact that they were preceded by Cailfone for me last week and will be followe

they are playing in my hood tonight. Are they any good live?

Tiny little voices go peep peep peep ...

I am transported back to a simpler time. When Arnold Jackson hung from the chin-up bar in his closet in hopes of getting taller. Only to be discovered by his older brother Willis and "Dad," Mr. Drummond. Ahhh, such a heartfelt and bittersweet moment. -
Actually, they really are good songs.

I cant get it out of my head that Two is a faster Harder Now That It's Over. I am having a hard time with this. Especially as a 2nd song. It throws everything out of whack for me. I can't see past it. Damn.

If we try really hard we can make this the new controversey thread. But we have to try really hard.

Bass and rhythm guitar ruined it.

Thanks! Just ordered it.

Another bloated, saurian spot of activism

I hear you, and I sympathize, but whether it's wearing a bracelet or having a hospital pavilion or foundation named after you, people often give to charity so that they can shout to the whole world how they are helping people. Ten years after your college graduation you are probably going to get some booklet that separates out by donation level how much money different people have given to the school (it's the same at any charity function too). What's the point of that? The anonymous givers will be very few and very far between. I guess my point here is that your criticism shouldn't be li -
David Chase doesn't know what he is talking about.

Does anyone else think that Two sounds an awful lot like a faster version of Harder Now That It's Over (from Gold)? I am having a tough time getting past this.

Check out how they eat the onion rings. All in one bite. As if it were a communion. Last rites. I'm just sayin'. It fits in with what I said above... (Paul is the only one with his back to the camera on the back of Sgt Pepper, too)

Tony definitely sees himself in the diner when he is walking in. I watched it again last night. That's either an editting glitch or a hint that this last scene is a dream. My money says that Tony got shot as he was entering the diner -- he never saw it or heard it, like he told Bobby. The rest of the scene is a coma-like dream as he loses consciousness and sees his family and focuses on the good times. All the while there are elements in the diner/dream that remind him that he could never be completely happy with his family because there are always threats around him. He always has to l
