  3. How can you not like Walk Hard?
  4. Finally someone that has the same vision of U2. Sureshot I agree with everything you've said in this thread. Thought I saw a Zooropa show (with the Velvet Underground opening) and a Popmart show and I prefered the first one. I loved the dancing Trabants, McPhisto and all that shit.
  5. Have you watched the trailer for the Archives on the Sugar Mountain's Dvd? Whatever what was said about it, it stills looks like an incredible thing to have. It's rare to see such ambitious project be that successful in the end (I'm not talking sales wise here).
  6. Battery In Your Leg - Blur (In a review someone wrote that this song had the saddest guitar riff ever. I agree.)
  7. So I've got a band. We're currently putting the final touches to our first L.P. which is mixed as I write by George Shilling whose previous work includes Teenage Fanclub, Primal Scream, My bloody Valentines, Bernard Butler, Blur... Over the years we've opened for band such as Yo La Tengo, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and we're about to play with Mark Olson of The Jayhawks. As I'm currently finishing writting L.P. #2, which is already a fair part of our live set, I was wondering how I could reach record-destroyer-in-chief Jim O'rouke and see how (with the help of a higher power, or if sell one o
  8. If you're in Paris on December 15th come and check us with Jayhawks legend at Le Sentier Des Halles.
  9. Talbot and Molina are really average musicians but even as it is Crazy Horse is still my favourite band on earth and the only one I'd pay a fortune to see live again. I encourage everyone to put "Weld" on their stereo as they read these words.
  10. I'm one song away from having heard Conor Oberst And The Mystic Valley Band's L.P. (also because "Valle Mistico (Ruben's Song)" is not really a song)

  17. So, still no sign of a released date for "Toast". Another U-turn for Mr Young?
  18. I've always wondered at what point in the YHF tour Mikael stepted on stage with Wilco for the first time. It is not said in Learning How To Die.
  19. Talking Heads Prince and The Revolution The Auteurs McAlmont & Butler Blur Pulp The Tears
  20. It doesn't do a thing for me. I know it's a very popular Radiohead song but It's one of my least favorite. It feels like a pre-James Blunt song. At least the live version has something going on in the end with Greenwood guitar. As Radiohead ballad goes I'll always prefer 'The Tourist', 'Motion Picture Soundtrack', 'Banana co.', 'Talk Show Host' or 'Pyramid Song'.
  21. Am I the only one excited about this here? This man always come with something unexpected. How does he do? You expect Archive materials from 69-71 or an unrealesed L.P. from the 70s and you end up with a Crazy Horse Album from 2000.
  22. No offense but I hope you are. Also Bubs101, if your friend gave you "Times Fades Away" among others, give it a spin (L.A., Last Dance and Don't Be Denied)
  23. I'm really into their Nuclear War E.P.
  24. My current obsession: Should've been in Love (check out the live version on the A.M. tour if you haven't yet.) But I wish for Panthers and More Like The Moon to be played during the remaining shows. they'd be great opener.
