  3. The first time I heard Secret of the Sea from Merm Ave II, I thought that Jeff must have been channeling George Harrison. So it would be cool to hear George do that song. Or any fellow Traveling Wilbury...Jeff Lynne?
  4. Ok, I had to chime in because I have some seriously weird names in my family. My mother's name was Welcome. As in "you are.." It was a family name. She was named after her grandfather, who actually didn't use it, he went by his middle name Matthew. Her best friend used to refer to her as "Willie" I have an uncle named Theron -- he goes by John. I have an Aunt Tillie. I also had an Uncle Stan who I called Uncle Lefty. Yes, he was left-handed, but so was everyone else in his family except my dad. My dad's name was Steve, but everyone called him Shep. I somehow emerged with a pret

  7. So far this show ALMOST makes up for the fact that I couldn't be at the East Lansing show a couple of weeks ago.
  8. I saw them in August at the Michigan Theatre and they melted my face off. SO totally worth the road trip to Chi-town. I am totally there.
  9. About ten years ago, I went with a friend to see a local band, The Holy Cows here in Ann Arbor at the Blind Pig. After consuming about 5 beers and around 10 songs into the set my friend shouted out "FREEBIRD!" The band then lauched into a blistering rendition of the song and it is still one of my most memorable concet experiences of all time. Sometimes you get lucky.
