No rumours. Just speculation. He has a home recording space set up. So, I figure that he would've been working on new material since he was unable to tour.
That's a real good point. Yes, hopefully! Neon Skyline 2: Judy's Revenge, maybe.

When I saw the date on this thread I thought "they better still be together!". Glad to see everything worked out.

To be fair, I was referencing a popular SNL sketch from the time and not just being a creepy weirdo. -
Assuming bands can tour by mid summer - early fall, I think next year is going to be stacked. I imagine there was a bunch of bands who had albums to go in 2020 that sat on them till they can tour the records, plus I imagine a lot of songwriters/bands have a lot of new material after sitting at home for 9 months and counting. Plus everyone who last dropped albums in 2018/2019 and are due for new ones in 2021.
I'll think about my list but.... After last night's Courtney Barnett stream, I'm very excited for her next album. The new songs were feeling pretty finished, I have to imagine her next album is basically ready.
Do we think Andy Shauf is going to have a new album already??? Please tell me you've heard rumours! -
I had a non-white Christmas once. Let me tell you, it was weird.
That said, Christmas is really the only good thing about winter. I wish it was a few months later because right at the beginning of winter is the best part but then we have January, February, most of March, of subzero temperatures, little sunlight, and snow. Tons and tons of snow.
Bring back summer!

I'm still waiting on Joe Dimaggio Done It Again!Oo that's a good one! In the early days I was campaigning for Chain of Broken Hearts but I feel like I'm the only one who likes that song haha

Very happy he played it! Was my request! I’m batting pretty good on the show! Blue eyed soul and Too Far Apart were also played at my nagging towards the beginning of the run 😜
Wow! What other outtakes that Jeff has never (or barely ever) played can we get you to request?? Venus Stop The Train?

The one time I don't watch live he does Shakin' Sugar. Damn!

Also, to echo what A-Man says above, you guys should check out the Wilco Album by Album discussions
on the Steve Hoffman forum, it would be a good source of material for the podcasts. Here's a link to the song by song discussion:
https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/wilco-album-by-album.957427/page-302
Great suggestion! I need to read through that thread. Jason's about to become a dad any minute now (though we're hoping we can squeeze in a recording session tomorrow morning!) so we'll take a month or so off from recording, I plan to use that time to do some heavy research.

OK guys, I have been listening to this podcast for awhile now. While I have mostly enjoyed the show, and thank you guys for the attempt, but how in the WORLD could you crap all over Country Disappeared? Not trying to be Wilco fan boy here, but to call it uninteresting, uninspired, poorly recorded, "Wal-Mart" version of a SBS song? Wow, this track to me is one of my favorite Wilco recordings, a perfect blend of lyrics, melody, instrumentation, full of soul, great solo, harmonies (BTW it's Pat singing with Jeff), etc. To each his own, but I think you guys BADLY missed the mark on this one. Check out this version from youtube, if this doesn't convert you to a fan of the song, there is no hope for you guys...
First of all!! Thank you for listeningDid I say it's a Walmart version of SBS song?? I don't remember saying that, maybe it was Jason. I'll have to go back and listen. Either way that made me laugh, but I probably wouldn't go that far. Maybe more of a Target version of a Wilco song
I've seen that video, it's probably a better version than what's on the album but it's still not a great Wilco song, IMHO. I don't see what's appealing about it! I'd agree with you that the harmonies, solo, and everything you listed are good but I think there's a bunch of songs on Sky Blue Sky alone which have all the same things but are way more effective, to me at least! It's definitely not a bad song but it's right there with Everlasting Everything and Capitol City with the Wilco songs that don't do much for me. Trust me, I've tried. I wish I liked it as much as you! In hindsight I would have loved to have you or someone with your opinion on the show to debate that one because I think me and Jason were very much on the same page of "meh" which isn't super interesting but is honest at least. Like Jeff says, every Wilco song is someone's favourite Wilco song.

The boxset finally arrived for me! So, I did an unboxing last night on the Alpha Bravo Charlie instagram account, if any of you like that sort of thing:

This strikes me as the Facebook philosophy of re-design, which IMO amounts to changing things for no reason other than the sake of changing them.
A good example of why these companies shouldn't be able to absorb each other into one or two giant monopolies. Facebook should have never been able to buy Instagram.

I don't think the video is larger, as some people were saying, I think IG just rounded the borders. But it did look sharper?
Yeah it looked a little more high res.
From a technical perspective, the show is definitely smoother than it was in the early days, outside of a hiccup here and there, we haven't had any major issues with the streams lately like we did in the March, April, etc.

Yeah this is how it's been for me for weeks. I preferred it before, when you could tap the centre of the screen and get just one or two comments on the bottom or tap it again and get half the screen in comments, that worked for everyone. Truthfully, I'm not bothered by the comments typically unless it's an entire multiple line post of emojis, that's a little distracting.

For the record it was I'm Always In Love.

Where's the 124.5 episode? I don't see it on her IGTV?
thanks
It was on IG, less than an hour last night so it should be archived there. Maybe Susan will post it to YouTube.

There was an impromptu Tweedy Show tonight. I missed the first 15 minutes or so, I'm assuming since Spencer was at his drums they played something. Sounds like everyone is doing well though, they're still waiting on their test results though. Then Jeff and Spencer did an instrumental Reincarnation followed by an instrumental Waltz #2 by Elliott Smith, which was awesome.
Sorry, I'm no u2roolz but this was my best attempt at a recap.

Because it's a special day in America I am NOT going to make a petty comment reminding you all that real Thanksgiving was last month. Happy Thanksgiving you guys!!

Thanks!

Can those with the boxset confirm that the Summerteeth album is the only records on black vinyl? I've heard conflicting reports that the live discs are on black as well. Just curious!

I liked how Jeff jumped in and did some unprompted guitar work on the Lucina Williams song with Casey and Spencer. That sort of spontaneity is what makes these streams so special, IMO.
