I'm sure that Falwell was offensive to many people on the right, as well.

Only 21 posts before El Famous opened the thread, found what he was looking for, and said "Well done." Well done!

"Fairly good" in the same league as Bob Jones, I guess.

I only wish that he could return to give a sign that he's in Heaven, Hell, or just dead.

I can't tell yet, but I've been watching. Somehow, over half of my bandwidth usage comes from Viachicago.org. Go figure! Last month, there was 1TB of downloads. Not bad, but it's only about 1/10 of what I'm allowed to transfer. Hopefully we can bust the 1TB record this month.

I don't, and I wish I did. It exists, and shows up rarely on eBay. I bid on it once, but lost it because I'd set a pretty low limit. I haven't seen it since, so I kind of regret not bidding a little higher. That said, next time it shows up on eBay, you'll probably wind up bidding against me. No hard feelings, right? The two that I really want are HKB and Star Above the Manger. Oh yeah, and Tyranny of Distance, but isn't that by someone else altogether?

I agree, but I didn't want to upload individual tracks too, and yet not 2x as much (zip + individual tracks). If you use Firefox, you can always try DownloadThemAll.

There was a matrix from the 4/8/06 show. But as far as I know, this is the only matrix source for the 3/3/07 show.

Copyright is a fine line no matter how you see it, and I realize that my site treads that line. I realize that at some point, someone will probably ask me to take something down. When that happens, I just want to make sure that the material it at least arguably legal. Collected Tweedy sounds good. I might have that somewhere, though, so let me take a look through my dusty CD collection.

Yeah, it's tough to say. I probably shouldn't host those, but I figure it's probably not too tough to get them and who knows? They might appear on the inevitable archives as well. I guess my basic rule (with the Wilco Singles Collection being a possible exception) is: Would Dime allow it?

FLACs here Thanks to ckc for giving this to me. Later this week, I'll also be posting a couple of old gems- Wilco's first show from the AM tour, as well as another purportedly uncirculated show from KFOG '97.

Family of girl, 12, sues after 'Brokeback' shown in class
owl replied to SlowBurn68's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I thought that the most interesting thing about Brokeback Mountain was the setup. After all the buddy-buddy, manly westerns that have been made, it is the logical next step to make one in which the guys have a relationship. Other than that, I wasn't terribly impressed with the film. Heath Ledger was good. Anne Hathaway is good-looking. That's about it. (I also think that the movie contained boobs just to make it slightly redeeming for guys.) -
I don't mind hosting stuff as long as it's not illegal.

Yeah, it's already in the $70s. On a side note, the current high bidder is really starting to bug me. He also recently blew 3 Califone records way out of my price range. I had thought that maybe he just didn't understand the Spanish/US exchange rate, but now this seems like his M.O.

Maybe because it was owned by their old soundman? Kind of a stretch for "history," if you ask me

Now there is an awful movie. What kind of educational value does Patriot have? -

Personally, I think that many, many R-rated movies are inappropriate for 12-year-olds. What would motivate a teacher to show an R-rated movie to a 12-year old? I don't know. What would motivate the teacher to show Brokeback Mountain? I'm even more baffled. I guess the real question, though, lies in whether the parents have allowed the girl to see R-rated movies before. I'd guess that this is: 60% parents found a great opportunity to sue 35% teacher's bad judgment 5% girl's mental scarring -
I have this co-worker, Joey Joe Joe Jr. Shabadoo,...

Thanks, feller. There is some more cool stuff on the horizon, including soundboards of the 2007 Living Room Show, Wilco's first show from the AM tour, as well as another purportedly uncirculated show from KFOG '97.

Happy birthday, feller.
