my spring break is the week of March 3......it might still be pretty chilly up there. That's better than too hot - but I am not sure how much porch sitting we will get in. However, my whole semester is over at the end of April - which is really weird to me......maybe that would be a better time, like early May?

Peru is a dream of mine.....someday....someday..... and Jen? If we can make a Woodstock retreat happen, I would be SO EXCITED if you could come!!! I really think we should start tossing dates out. Here's a suggestion: if anyone is interested in doing this, PM me and I can send out an email with info on the area and dates that are good. I need to make sure my mom doesn't have the house booked out to anyone. She is pretty generous with her house keys.

can you all please keep your sarcastic wankery out of my politics thread?

man....you guys.

from one of the blogs I read....

Like I said, I really admire Ron Paul for speaking truth on the war and not giving in to the "double Guantanamo" bullshit.......you know when Fox News wants to shut you up and shut you out, you might be onto something. It was really weird seeing Paul supporters at the anti war demonstration we went to a few month ago. They were everywhere. Just strange seeing a GOP name in that environment. However, his domestic policies would be -- I have no predictions for either race..... I am pulling for Obama. If Edwards got the nod, I would be happy. How about an Obama/Edwards ticket? Sound

yeah, because we are both in our living room and in each other's company 24 hours a day. I wouldn't mind being with my husband that much, since he is my favorite person on earth, but sadly that's not our reality. -- mb - I know, I am really excited too. I will be glued to NPR most of the day/evening.

Graham had one of those....but then he never came back home and he wouldn't return his calls. While Graham kept up with his part of paying rent to the landlord, he was essentially evicted because of the other guy. That really sucked - I had to help him move all his crap. We never knew what became of the guy or his stuff......the day Graham moved out, all of his stuff was still there.

I know......I was happy about that one. I voted for Kucinich in 2004......but because I am not much a Hillary fan, I am voting for Obama. I had been pretty torn on this since elf man probably best represents my positions. Now that he has given the nod to Obama? I don't feel as bad. oh yeah, I forgot about that.
-
well, I guess Tweedling is voting for Obama then.

it wasn't half bad. *I changed my mind.

we are hoping to get our credit cards paid off this year.......though our student debt is insane. We won't be in the market for a house for a few more years, and not until we leave Chicago. Too $$$ here. I at least hope we can start saving a little this year. I am glad we only have one car. Now, if only Amazon would start giving me free books.....we'd be well ahead of the game.

well move out and let the owner get a new roommate. You do have a choice to move - even if the owner throws a fit. It's a hell of a lot more fair.

Nancy Pelosi lost me when she said, "impeachment is off the table."
-
your point makes sense - but they have to do the same thing for the national election - stumping across the nation. Push the primary back until June - then have a national primary and then general election in November. Nationwide pimping will commence shortly.

so, do you pay half of your girlfriend's bills? Who's the freeloader here?? -- Christine sounds right.
-
he was against it before he was for it.
-
yeah dude, just move out. No need to be a dick about wanting to skip out on your financial obligations.
-
fair or not - half. It's the person's choice not to stay there.

nationwide primary.....that's my vote.

While I am voting Democrat, and am excited to see how the race unfolds, I am more interested to see how the GOP shapes up......I really despise all of the Republican contenders (except Paul) - big shock there - but for very different reasons. From week to week I change my mind on who would be the worst person to be nominated. Romney - his game show host persona and his insincere pandering to the GOP base. Gross. McCain - lost all credibility in my eyes when it came to the torture issue. He used to be a somewhat respected moderate, in my eyes, and now licks Bush's boots. I think he may al

Wow, the Iowa caucus is tomorrow.....it's here folks, it's finally here.......I thought I would start a thread for predictions, discussion, etc....... It's going to be interesting.

Graham used to live at Granville and Broadway, so we would go there a lot. We were there pretty frequently after I moved up here into RP.....I am still there pretty often.
