I love love love The Big Lebowski. I saw it twice in the theatre, but that was because I don't remember much from the first time since my friends and i had been doing bong hits in the car for an hour leading up to it.

I thought Dune was horrible when it came out - and it's even worse now. My daughter LOVED that movie when she was 10.....strange kid.

I would like to see There Will Be Blood - though Graham is apprehensive. He says he doesn't know if he can stomach another film with a grimacing Daniel Day Lewis. We saw a trailer for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly - it made me feel itchy.

You forgot The Big Lebowski, which in my opinion is likely one of the greatest comedies of all time.......and O Brother? I think I saw that one three times in the theatre. I was lukewarm on Miller's Crossing and Hudsucker. I liked Barton Fink and Blood Simple alot. Raising Arizona is great, but it feels dated and worn out to me now. Fargo is still likely my favorite. (I have not seen Intolerable Cruelty, The Man Who Wasn't There or Ladykillers)

I think my favorite was from my last place of employment. As a joke, my friend Kimberly wrapped a framed picture of herself in some cheesy glamour shot pose in front of a beach backdrop. I think it was from a cruise she went on or something. So, the woman in the cube next to her, Celeste, gets it.....everyone laughs, knowing its a joke and that Kimberly really has another gift for the exchange.....but, Celeste clutches the photo and hugs and goes, "I love it!" She then went and prominently displayed it on her desk....... Later in the day people in other departments started coming up to Ki

since I realized today that we had only seen one movie in the theatre this year, I decided it was time to go to a movie! I haven't read the book, nor did I know anything about the movie going into it.......I didn't even realize it was a Coen Bros movie until a few days ago. (I am kind of in the dark regarding movie releases, etc - since we hardly ever go to movies, nor do we watch much TV) I thought the movie was phenomenal. I am a pretty literal movie goer - so a lot of times metaphor is lost on me - so, Graham and I had a nice discussion over Taco Bell. I will definitely see it a

Honey, we never really go to or rent movies.....so, it's not that you don't remember. You didn't see any. (okay, that isn't 100% true - we did go to one movie - A Mighty Heart) However, Pod People was a highlight of the year on VHS.

1. Unbearable Weight: Western Culture, Feminism and The Body - Susan Bordo - Probably one of the best collections of essays of feminist theory I have come across. Bordo uses a Foucauldian approach in her work, and her analysis is vital and relevant. She doesn't get bogged down in what she calls the "stylish nihilism" of many postmodern theorists. One of the best books I have ever read, period. 2. A Thousand Splendid Suns - Khaled Hosseini - I have had an interest in Afghanistan, and particularly the lives of women in Afghanistan, since the mid 1990's. I loved his first book, The Kite Runner

I used to run an art gallery in West Town - and your work would be lovely there. However, only submissions from the Chicago area make it into the jury pool. Chicago has an Artist's Month in October and along with it they put out a great gallery guide. I was thinking it might be a good start for looking into names, places, etc. Chicago Artist's Month I haven't taken a very deep look at the site - so, it may not have everything you are looking for. But, you might be able to contact them for this years catalog. It's not much, but I hope it helps give you a place from which to leap. Good l

Clemens is no different than Bonds By Dan Wetzel, Yahoo! Sports December 13, 2007 Year after year he peddled the same garbage, Roger Clemens was so dominant for so long because he simply outworked everyone. It played to the nation's Puritan roots, made Clemens out to be this everyman maximizing his skills through singular focus, dedication and a commitment to drinking carrot juice, or something. It's all gone now, the legend of Rocket Roger dead on arrival of the Mitchell Report; one of the greatest pitchers of all time, his seven Cy Youngs and 354 career victories lost to history under
