  1. I agree with those who mentioned miles davis's, flaming lips, , bob dylan, and neil young were all spot on. I really liked pearl jam's run with: Ten VS Vitology No code Yield also a later run by neil starting in the late 80's Freedom Ragged Glory Havest Moon Sleeps With Angels Mirror Ball
  2. The new album is awesome. Ja is on fire. Pick Me Up completly shreds. Murph sounds great and Lou has a couple nice tracks on the album. I'm really digging this album i'm so glad they made it. Now i can't wait for the DVD at the end of the month
  3. I'm getting it today. I've heard some good stuff about it. I hope my ears are bleeding after the first listen
  4. I don't know if it is groovin or cool or anything of that nature but if i can ever find a girl to marry me i'm gonna have Harvest Moon by Neil Young Played.
  5. Very Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I'll probably skip this unless for some unlikely reason i hear that it is great. Best news is it looks like the archives will arrive before Christmas

  8. Is that the Rock Set up? I think someone else posted teh rock set up which does not include tables. It looks like that one might be for when the y have tables? I'm not sure i'm just excited to see them!
  9. I read that one too and i always enjoyed it a lot.
  10. So it Goes. The most important thing I learned on Tralfamadore was that when a person dies he only appears to die. He is still very much alive in the past, so it is very silly for people to cry at his funeral. All moments, past, present and future, always have existed, always will exist. -Slaughterhouse Five "When Hemingway killed himself he put a period at the end of his life; old age is more like a semicolon," Vonnegut told The Associated Press in 2005. "My father, like Hemingway, was a gun nut and was very unhappy late in life. But he was proud of not committing suicide. And I'll do

  13. I hope everyone was able to get good seats that wanted them. I'm not sure of the way chastain is set up but i think i got a couple decent seats. section- Pit row 4 seat 9/10 Man the extra fees really added up. 6.50 for shipping 8.80 for a service fee all that said i'm sure it will be worth it
  14. I'll be very happy to see them anywhere, but that said getting into and out of Chastain with traffic is alway a bitch Thanks for the response i was assuming that the sale was not tomorrow but wanted to make sure.
  15. I was a little confused by the website.... So the Atlanta Show goes on sale tomorrow same as the Charlotte time? WED April 11th? Becasue the Atlatna show is the only one without info directly under it. is that because the info under charlotte is for both of them? Becasue when you click on the ticketmaster link it only brings you to the Ovens Auditorium (charlotte) dates.
  16. Chastain is such a bitter sweet venue for me. It should be incrediable. Outdoors large comfy seats. It is intimate for it's size. It is great if you splurge and get the seats in front of the stage they are usually (depends on the band) set up as tables and you can brign a cooler with beer/wine and have dinner as you watch the show. BUT the crowds there tend to be bad at times. Very uppity. Very Cheese & Wine. you can buy season passes and alot of folks do this becasue they tend to have a lot of old classic rock bands come through during the summer that older people go ga ga for. Some peopl
  17. I think Neil Young is rather good at writing something that makes you "feel" Blind man running through the light of the night With an answer in his hand, Come on down to the river of sight And you can really understand, Red lights flashing through the window in the rain, Can you hear the sirens moan? White cane lying in a gutter in the lane, If you're walking home alone. Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Just find someone who's turning And you will come around. And i think War of man by him is my favorite anti war song... well maybe masters of war is better but i l
  18. Pearl Jam- No code Neil Young- On The Beach Wico- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Alice in Chains- Dirt Dinosaur Jr- Where Ya Been
  19. no not much stands up to that. I actually used to have that on tape but lost it hopefully in a decade or so when archives vol 4 (i'm guessing) comes out it will be on there
  20. sweet joni is a sweet song but someone else mentioned ordinary people... that song rocks so hard it is one of my favorite neil songs ever written Also have you all heard the 16 minute acoustic version of change your mind? it is very cool
  21. Well if you want to get a good picture of his early stuff you really can't go wrong by picking up Live at Massey Hall and Live Rust. Now if you want to stay away from live sets and get actual albums go ahead and pick up after the gold rush and everybody knows this is nowhere. They will be good compliments to harvest. My personal favorite is On the Beach followed by Tonights the Night. Because you can feel neil bleed pure emotion on the albums. They may not be the best albums to start with but keep those gems in mind. He has great albums sprinkled throughout his career other highlights
  22. Vol 1 is mysteriously not available yet. As mentioned many think it will be part of the Archives Set. Seems like Neil wants to run it in Chronological order. It is rumored that vol 1 will be the Riverboat shows from 1969 He did i think like 7 shows in a row in toronto all solo acoustic. If this is true it makes me VERY VERY happy!
  23. I picked up Live @ Massey Hall today the cd/dvd combo and if you are a neil young fan and don't want to wait for the box set this is an awesome cd/dvd combo. the sound quality is excellent. I have this boot and the london boot which was similar show and the sound quality is great compared to those boots. I have not watched the dvd yet although i'm excited to do that assoon as i get off of work. The cheapest i found it was 15.98 for the combo at Target. Can't beat acoustic versions of cowgirl in the sand and down by the river. Plus the rendition of man needs a maid and heart of gold playe
  24. I got a copy of this Saturday night. MELLOW. I like it a lot but it is very mellow. I liked it from the first listen even though all the songs except for maybe Walken start out slow and progress into a great jam. Nels really dominates this album in my mind and that is okay with me. the last three songs are great. I love impossible Germany and either way a lot too. Not sure where it will end up ranking agaisnt the other wilco albums yet but i know i will enjoy it. The album is the perfect lazy sunday morning album.
  25. http://www.repriserecords.com/neilarchives/ It's coming. Trailor is up.
