  1. What is the other killer song besides goin home to you? I'm just wondering because i'll give it a shot again. Only one that stood out to me was Goin Home ( i have to assume that is one of your two) As for the tour i read that the show will last 4 hours Pegi young opener Neil young solo acoustic first set Neil with the band for second set
  2. "According to Rolling Stone, "Ordinary People" is the 18+ mintue song, and "Beautiful Bluebird" is the second of the three ressurected songs. Two other tracks are "Shining Light" (a ballad) and "Dirty Old Man" (a rocker)"

  6. That would be insanely crazy and i would be so happy!
  7. I am assuming it is tne 13 minute song on the album, but it could be the 18.5 minute song on the album which would mean either he added a lengthy jam/solo or more probable more modern lyrics to go with it. I doubt it is the 18 minute song though 13 seems more likely.
  8. Also he is only refurbishing 3 unreleased songs. The other 7 are brand new. Also one of those unreleased songs is ORDINARY PEOPLE So i'm cool with this.
  9. New Neil Young Album: "Chrome Dreams II" Set for Release October 16th BURBANK, CA -- 08/23/07 -- The new album by Neil Young, "Chrome Dreams II," will be released by Reprise Records on October 16th. Speaking from a vacation retreat with his family, Young says it's "an album with a form based on some of my original recordings, with a large variety of songs, rather than one specific type of song." It comes at a creative peak for the artist, following the "Greendale," "Prairie Wind," and "Living With War" albums, and a summer 2006 tour by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young that concert audiences
  10. So evidently one of the old songs (and probalby the 13 minute song if i had to guess) is going to be Ordinary People. Ordinary people is probalby in my top 10 fav neil songs EVER!! I'm excited to hear it because i only have a copy from an old bootleg in the 80's. "I do not know the players, but it was friends of Neil, as always. All new recordings, done in an auto repair garage. They laid down rubber mats with holes and then poured wood shavings in the holes to absorb some sound. Recorded live, I think very few overdubs, minimal processing. Yes there was aa songs or two that had horns-I
  11. That is really cool to read. I had not seen that before thank you for sharing. I still love both of them when it comes to guitar
  12. My favorite guitarist is J Mascis (note favorite i don't know how you really judege the best guitarist of a generation) Him and Nels are very different and I like them both a lot for what they do. I wonder if they ever jammed together considering they both play on mike watt's album ball hog & tugboat.
  13. Nels Cline plays in Wilco. I assume you don't need me to say anything else? I have seen both the national and wilco this year. I would see wilco on their own and check out the national at the festival.
  14. i saw arcade fire and national... i actually like that tour better.
  15. Maybe. I think the weather channel is in Atlanta. (don't quote me on that i know they hire computer engineers here not sure if they broadcast from here)
  16. Are you rich? Maybe if you donated a ton of money to a charity he believes in he would do it.
  17. damn it i echo the frustration in this post.
  18. that is very cool thank you for sharing
  19. They are going to get crazy and play: Thanks I Get
  20. Likewise! it was a lot of fun. I still have music running through my head.
  21. It was fairly standard. They did play either way which i don't think they have been playing often but i would not call it rare. A fairly standard wilco setlist is still a lot of fun though
  22. I know many of you all probably own Jeff Tweedy Live in the Pacific Northwest and the Documentary of I am Trying To Break Your Heart, but if you don't or you just want to watch them or TiVo them they will both be on tonight. I think the Tweedy live show starts at 10pm and is followed by doc afterwards. Here is a link to their program schedule http://www.sundancechannel.com/schedule
  23. I am fairly positive i saw you guys it looked like you all were having a great time i was a couple rows back. I've only seen wilco 5 times now but even with the rain i think last night was my favorite. I thought perhaps when they started off with so many songs in a row from the new album they might play the entire album straight through which would have been kind of cool. I did not catch what jeff was saying at the end about one of the band members family being in the crowd was that Pat's parents in the 5th row? I was right in front them and whomever they were and seemed to be loving it
