i always liked their album transatlaticism the best.

Yes I think as an overall album the blue record is better. that said I don't think any of the songs on the album hold a candle to the opening salvo that is the first three songs on the Red Album. Blue Record is very good in it's own right. As a fan who has liked them from the days of first and second i miss the harsher vocals, but the music they are making now is soooo good it is hard to argue with. Oh and tinnitius enjoy the show. I'll be seeing that one next week in Atlanta. Can't miss a chance to see high on fire and mastodon... plus converge is a wild live show even though i'm no

I like some Electric Wizard too! The new baroness album "blue record" is so good. not sure i woudl call it a metal album but they get called a metal band so i'll mention it.
-
I'll go with Pearl Jam. Hands down easily: Ten Vs Vitology No Code Yield one of my favorite 5 album runs and they all fall in the 90's

I think backspacer is a good album. Far from their best but some really nice songs. got some amongst the waves just breathe unthought known force of nature all stand tall for me. Some of the others are more average and a couple i could do without.
-
I'm giving this one the college try. First listen the vocals grated me. Second listen i warmed to it a little. I think i need to spin it a few more times before making a final decision. Although i di think it safe to say it would not receive a 9.1 on the intodeep scale, but it still may be a nice album when all is said and done.
-
still waiting for my 10c copy to arrive... anyway i like the album. It won't be a special pj album to me but it has some cool songs. So far i would rank them like this: Got Some Force of Nature Amongst the Waves Just Breathe Unthought Known (this one has really been growing on me) The End Supersonic The Fixer Gonna See My Friend Johnny Guitar Speed of Sound

I'm still waiting for my 10c copy to arrive I did get my hands on a copy though and have been listening. I still think Got Some is the best song on the ablum, but i do love amongst the waves, just breathe, and force of nature a lot too. Some of these may be better live. A lot of folks seem to love unthought known and it just has not captured me yet.
-
I love pearl jam and I'm enjoying this album. It is too early to rank it as right now i'm in new album euphoria mode. Some really cool songs and some okay songs. I think most pj fans will enjoy this. It is a pretty safe album for them in my opinion. Not branching out much, but that is not necesarily a bad thing.
-
I thought their last album "self titled" was pretty damn good actually. I too am pretty excited about this. I don't like the fixer too much but i really liked Got Some. The End is another goood one and from what i heard of that song just breathe in the little 10 minute video it sounded cool too. I'm very excited to hear "amonst the waves" evidently a guy from spin who reviewed the album said it is an anthem like Alive that could have those fans "rushing back to the bad"..... that sounds promising.
-
you have a point, but as long as the songs don't sound like they were written by a 10 year old girl i'll give it a go. I've hears the end, got some, and a good bit of the fixer and so far i'm excited to check it out

I prefer SBS but i don't dislike W(TA) it has it's moments. I just loved the feel of SBS and the way it flowed together so well in my mind. It was the perfect sunday morning album. I thought very highly of SBS. W(TA) is good.

No stop in Atlanta which i was mildly disapointed in, but i have a feeling maybe sometime next year they will make it through. They did play athens, but it was a "school night" and I could not make it. If it was a friday or saturday i woudl have gone to that. hopefully they will make it through on the next tour in 2010
