Thanks everybody for responding!

I think probably "Via Chicago" or "Misunderstood" would be good choices off of KT, those two I think represent Wilco as a live entity today.
-
Basically a guy I work with said he had never heard Wilco and wanted to know which album to buy. I told him that I would make a mix on my ipod to listen to at work, putting 1 or 2 songs for each album. But I want to make sure he gets a feel for each album so he doesnt buy one and find it isnt anything like the other stuff he has heard. Kind of like when everybody bought the Ben Folds Five album "Whatever and Ever Amen" expecting to hear a bunch of songs like "Brick."

If you had to make a mix with one song from each Wilco album to represent that album as a whole, what would it be? My picks: A.M.-Passenger Side Being There-Hotel Arizona (represents the dual country/experimental rock sides of the album) Summerteeth-A Shot in the Arm(although almost every song on Summerteeth is representative of how Summerteeth sounds overall) YHF-War on War(strummy acoustic guitars with weird synths at the end, like much of YHF) AGIB-Muzzle of Bees SBS-Side with the Seeds Discuss/Argue.

I like how this thread began to sink to the bottom and then the last two comments happened, which put together are a good summation of this entire thread.

I was thinking of tabbing "Like a Photograph" later. I did attempt "Charming and Plastic" earlier and it proved kinda difficult, lots o chords.

Jay Bennett is a great traditional songwriter. He can do the verse chorus verse thing better than most working songwriters today. But it seems to me that Jeff Tweedy wanted to go a bit further out than that. Not to mention the need to be clean and sober and away from the people he used to be around that encouraged that behavior, i.e.: "14. We like to get drunk - When Jay Bennett was in the band we got crazy drunk at your shows. Now they are in fancy theaters with limits on alcohol sales and stupid prices." "2. The Ludes vibe of the entire Summerteeth album..." I do think that Jay Ben

There are NO Jay Bennett tabs anywhere on the internet and only 1 on this message board. Does anyone know how to play any of the songs off of "the Palace at 4am" or "Bigger Than Blue" other than the Wilco stuff(ie-Cars Cant Escape, Venus Stopped the Train)? Im thinking Puzzle Heart, California, etc. any help is much appreciated.

Summerteeth(the song) In a Future Age Outtasite (the disc 2 version) The Lonely 1 IATTBYH Spiders Less than you Think Leave me Like you Found Me -
Does that mean it isnt a Courtesy Move song?
-
I dont know, Im just going by what the liner notes say. I assumed since it was a Ken,Jay, and John track that it might be considered a Courtesy Move song.
-
Ken Coomer and John Stiratt also back up Jay Bennett on "It's Hard" and "Let Count Our Losses" from Jay's "Bigger Than Blue." The liner notes on those tracks say 'Produced by The Courtesy Move.'

Also, I guess what I meant was a complete list of songs that were "worked on" during the YHF Sessions, not necessarily originating from those sessions. So, for instance, songs like "Ashes" that were played before the official sessions began would count since it was recorded for consideration. Does anyone know if "No Church tonight" was ever in consideration for YHF? I know it came out of the Mermaid Avenues Sessions however it was played live once around the time YHF was recorded and later ended up on the Jay Bennett solo CD.

I would love to see those clips...

I was compiling a list of all the songs that were either worked on, or a result of, the sessions for Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and I wanted to get your input. I know some songs were worked on in various incarnations by different titles. Also, Im trying to not count anything we havent heard, Im sure there are some tracks that have never been released. This is just the album, b-sides, demos, etc. Anyway, here is what I've got so far: I am trying to break your heart Kamera Radio Cure/Cordurroy Cutoff Girl War on War Jesus, etc. Heavy Metal Drummer Ashes of American Flags/Cash Machine Pot Kettle Blac

The Pageant sold out(The Friday Show) in like five minutes. And now you can get tickets for 150 bucks on Ticketexchange. Awesome.
-
Ellen Page as Miley Cyrus was the worst impression/acting I've ever seen. Also, arent there usually back up vocals on "Hate it here"?

What with the sense of entitlement? They are people who have careers and do things to help further their careers.

I was wondering what songs were debuted live and what songs were debuted on record? For instance I know that there was a really early version of "Hate it Here" played by Jeff at solo shows. And then there are songs that no one heard until the album came out. Anyway it would be interesting to hear some of the first versions of songs that were debuted live, specifically the FIRST time they were ever played. If ayone has a bootleg of the debut of a song it would be sweet if you could post it, otherwise I would still like to know which songs were debuted where.

To those defending the idiot's actions: The guy jumped on my friend's wheelchair and used that to boost himself up(without her permission) yeah, what a classy ass dude.

Okay here is a list of songs they played, I dont know the exact order(and this is not the exact order by far), but this will suffice for a bit: Via Chicago A Shot in the Arm Handshake Drugs Walken Impossible Germany War on War(drunk dude spills beer all over some kid and then bodychecks him, Jeff comes to the edge of the stage and mouths "You need to settle down...fucker") I am trying to break your heart Jesus, etc. Im the man who loves you Poor Places Forget the Flowers Theologians(some girl comes onstage and sits down beside Mikael) At least thats what you said Airline to Heaven(dude jumps
