  1. There used to be more, but it's become a favorite hunting spot for some ( or so I hear).
  2. Yeah, I did see a Jackson show in '90 that fits that bill. Wonderful show. He did at least half of "Late For The Sky".
  3. I read this whole damn thread and this was the thing I felt I could really hang my hat on.
  4. Stone Free- A Tribute To Jimi Hendrix (Reprise, 1993)
  5. Such a large laundry list of economic policy and foreign policy issues that it makes my head swirl to even contemplate the question. But one of the things that really gets under my skin is the fact that same-sex marriage is even an issue at all. It's hard to believe that this is so unnerving to people - in fact some major campaigns are based on keeping the 'one man/ one woman' idea at the forefront of the political agenda >>. Pathetic. Love is love and the zealots need to get over their hangups. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness y'all.
  6. Here's from my notes: FM (A-) High energy! Killer Nelson on "Henry". I recall the great DN solo on Henry..very speedy and twangy ( coke?). Worthwhile.
  7. 12/7/77? I have that show if you don't have that on CD and are interested.
  8. It could be a distinct possibility that, given how fast information travels today, that the eventual winner in '08 hasn't even declared themself yet. Time is getting shorter but there's still a few months left before some heavy-hitter could jump in and twist this thing completely around. It's more wide open than we'd be led to believe. My .02.
  9. This Jenny Lewis - is she some kind of babe or something?
  10. Might be the Live at Massey Hall (1971) version.
  11. Cryptique, I'm still freaking out that you saw The Residents. That had to be something.
  12. It truly blows my mind to listen to the folks on the hill speak about that guy like he was Lincoln, FDR and JFK all rolled into one. From BOTH sides of the aisle.
  13. I hope you don't mind but that sounds so much like me I can't believe it! It's going in my sig.
  14. Nobody listens to anything I say here anyway, ask around. Or better yet ask my kids - they DEFINITELY don't listen to me.
  15. Don? Please man YSI me the drugs you are on if you thought Reagan was a great Prez. THAT guy WAS the Anti-Christ.
  16. OK, here's a few that do NOT include teh GD: (all shows Indy area) Miles Davis- front row, Clowes Hall 1987 Bowie- front row, Deer Creek 1990 - got his guitar pick ABB- front row, Deer Creek 1990, got Betts' pick King Crimson, The Vogue, 1984- still maybe the best show I ever saw Zappa, The Vogue, 1984, right in front of the man - I think we freaked him out just a bit! RHCP (w/ Hillel), some small all-ages place, 1986. God those guys were insane as hell. The opener (Thelonious Monster) still the most unprofessional piece of dog-doo band I've ever seen. Sabbath/B.O.C. 1980 - best
  17. OK, now I'm envious. Are they ever gonna release that damn thing before I'm dead and gone?
  18. "Law and Order never sufficiently explained why the Manhattan D.A. had an accent like an Appalachian catfish wrestler". Brilliant!
  19. The only time I saw them was in early '84. I had a head full of psychedelics and my seat was up in the balcony. As the show got underway I was compelled by this force to inch my way to the front until I was directly in front of Chrissie and she sang to me the rest of the night. Needless to say, I was totally smitten and still consider Ms. Hynde to be the finest female rocker in the history of rock.
