  1. YAY! Pacers have got a #8 spot locked up!
  2. Unbelievably, after last year's regular season joke of a defense, Indy has been playing really well on D. This will be the real acid test for them. NE's offense is just sick right now. I don't know if the '85 Bears could stop these guys.
  3. About a week late, but here's a nice article on the show (you all have probably read this already but wtf): http://jambase.com/Articles/Story.aspx?StoryID=11838 From a '95 newscast - a lot of the usual BS but some wisdom sprinkled in there as well. Be prepared to be sad. http://youtube.com/watch?v=acSY30S0hOU
  4. I dunno. Could be. I really just hope the game lives up to the hype. Probably not likely. I DO know this place is going to be crazy as hell again for the next week. It is kind of perplexing to realize that you have the world champions residing here, have won the matchup what is it, 3 times in a row (?), and they're still thought of as an underdog. Like the win last Winter was a fluke. Hmm. That being said, the Pats are looking as good as any team I've ever seen. They're seriously good. I hope this game gets a lot of commmentary here.
  5. I watched this on the webcast. Looked like a huge crowd. Anyone have an idea how many folks were at this?
  6. The Grateful Dead. They're from America. That's all I have at this time.
  7. I saw them on the Blizzard tour also. I'd never heard em before that. Those dudes were around the same age as I was. I have to honest and say they didn't exactly bowl me over. Now Ozzy with Rhoads - that was some good stuff. Small theatre, first 10 rows. Such a shame that RR died like 6 months later.
  8. Once I had a really nice girlfriend. Sweet, good looking, etc. She was into Leppard. I thought it was an important enough issue to break up with her.
  9. When I was a wee lad I had the Itchykoo Park 45. I was a wierd kid.
  10. I'm sure they'd get slagged around here, but I REALLY loved Humble Pie. The Fillmore LP is one of the great live rock records.
  11. I couldn't be happier for my friends here that are Sox fans. Enjoy yourselves!
  12. Yep. Nov. 4 is going to be teh awesome!
  13. Yea 40!! Hope your day is filled with much merriment!
  14. Captain Beefheart - London 1974. That's right.
  15. Err umm...ND doesn't play today. I reckon that's a good thing though.
  16. Just a heads up here. Today marks the day when the GD played their first show in Indianapolis (10/27/73, State Fairgrounds Coliseum). A dear old friend of mine saw this one - his first show. Situated between the Oklahoma City show (Dick's #19) and the amazing St. Louis shows it falls off of the radar for the most part but it has many killer versions of tunes. The Loose Lucy in particular is my all-time favorite - very slow and downright nasty. For my money, the Fall '73 Tour (all the way through December actually) is the Dead at their very finest.
  17. Yeah! It is the Big Railroad w/ clown masks. Ol bushy head JG has some trouble keeping his on.
  18. My God that's awesome Mende. Sendspace that sucker!
  19. I haven't gone through all of these yet, but is that the show where they do a song or two with the clown masks on? I have those on a VHS somewhere. ::consults the Compendiums::
  20. This sounds like an AMAZING evening. Hopefully some thoughtful soul captured this.
  21. Get well wishes from the heart of Hoosierland! Looking forward to seeing you at some shows again soon.
