  1. Anybody watch any of the free Furthur Sweetwater streams last week? Some good stuff in there. John K seems to continue to be given more space to bring his own style to the tunes.
  2. I always took Booby jokes as good-natured. He took some flak in the day but everyone always dug him, imo.
  3. Favorite sticker I ever saw: "I (heart) My (picture of Garcia's head)." Like the ones they have for favorite dogs. Only saw it once. Would love to find one. Runner up: "Bob Spit On Me."
  4. I've never had an ice fish. Bet they're hard to eat, though.
  5. Hell yes. Have a person or two that would love for me to pass that on to, as well....Cool.
  6. Cool, when does this come out? ...or Lammy, right?
  7. Likely that Beiber fella all the kids are listening to....
  8. The second show at C.U. Boulder, Folsom Field comes to mind with a UJB->Playin'->UJB to open the show, as does the Lewiston, ME first set from September. The fist sets in most of '80 seemed pretty consistent with Alabama opener and the other Go To Heavan tunes in it, often ending in China->Rider or Deal. I've always loved the Heaven Help the Fool (jam) from those acoustic sets, too.
  9. Man I love Sandinista! too but there's some stuff I listened to the first few times but will circumnavigate now each listen.
  10. Graceland, too. Can't think of any duds on that, though I haven't heard it in a spell.
  11. MLK Day =no school for Lammy. You're a total bust.
  12. I'll be honest: I like the album all the way through. I guess that's what I think of when I think of "10" albums- nothing I would skip.
  13. The Joshua Tree is more perfect 10 than Achtung Baby. Sorry.
  14. Seriously? The first time? Martin Fierro was a pretty fine and jazzy saxist, imo. He was in Legion of Mary for awhile, too. Played with a lot of great musicians. I've seen him a bunch in SCI and DSO and other bands.
  15. Billy's Swing style plays off Mickey's pounding perfectly, imo. I'll take 'em both, even though I liked the clarity of one drummer in the 70-s when Mickey was gone. Love hearing them both pounding out different yet complimentary beats/rhythms on tunes like Bertha, Estimated, Franklin's, etc. in the 80s, though.
  16. I like how now that he's sick everyone is pretending to know who he is.
  17. Bullshit. Curious George was a role model for a young Lammy.....
