I believe in shift in momentum. Tonight as a case in point. I disagree that the Rays won't "show up" but there's something to be said to taking a hit like they did tonight. Had BOS not made that come back tonight, people would be talking about how badly the Rays beat up on them and how poor the Sox played. Which they did. Save for three innings tonight. It's a fickle game, which is why I don't discount shit like momentum, chemistry, etc. I know plenty of folks do. True. And the teams vote on shares before the playoffs begin, too. It's common to award players who were a part of the team for a chunk of the season. Manny would surely get a share, I'd imagine. Last year, the Rockies even gave a full share to Mike Coolbaugh's widow/family. He was a minor league base coach for the Rockies who was killed by a line drive to the head earlier in the season.

I'm reading a pretty vapid Red Sox book right now but learned that the school I'm taking graduate classes in currently (based out of Mesa, AZ) once had (at the same time) Terry Francona as a coach and "the man who's name shall not be mentioned" (that left Pedro in too long) working together for the short Fall league in 1993. Now, you may be saying to yourself: "but Lammy, that has absolutely nothing to do with anything." tAnd o that, I reply: "you're absolutely right."

Charlie Miller, too! Those were some nice 3 shows with them sitting in with Phil. Kimock sat in a bit, as did Donna. They did do a Terrapin. Also, of the Phish catalog: a Chalkdust, a Prince Caspian, a Down with Disease, and I believe a Wolfman's Brother. All good stuff. They seemed top really have a blast and things melded quite well on stage.

The only tune that's leaked that I've liked (and granted, they all might have been pretty rough demos anyway) was "The Blues," now "Street of Dreams." It would take some pretty big changes to a lot of the cuts I've heard for me to be interested in this....
