  1. This morning's mail from match.com I've worked through the various ways of dispelling my new racist status, but it seems the most logical and definitive, is to buy a ring. Granted she's 3 inches taller than me and lives in a town far too far away. True love knows no bounds, though.
  2. Actually, I think it just assumes he has decent medical insurance and enough cash to buy a sports car.
  3. Gotcha. Someone should show the president that stuff.

  12. Aircraft maker Terrafugia has successfully flown its "flying car," taking the vehicle a step closer to becoming commercially available. Officially called the Transition Roadable Aircraft Proof of Concept, the two-seat aircraft had its maiden flight March 5 at Plattsburgh International Airport in Plattsburgh, N.Y. It was a runway flight, which means the aircraft only flew above the runway. The fight from takeoff to landing lasted only about 30 seconds. Nevertheless, Terrafugia said the test proved that the Transition is ready for more advanced flying. Test pilot retired U.S. Air Force Col.
  13. Well, if ones point of view is that all that's left to do is bury the coffin than money that would go to these companies would be better served to going to the people in some form or another. Any penny that didn't would be 'a waste.' I don't fathom how they save this. While they're saving jobs money is going to support other things that while saving jobs aren't really helping people. And in the end that's going to have been more money that could have gone to directly helping people. These are people that are going to need new jobs, in new industries, and ideally ones that we won't allow corpor
  14. Sorry Flushed. As in wasted. And, besides, what have they done to deserve to get a bailout that others can't get. Bottom line is if the majority opinion is to help folks hand the cash to those effected in extended benefits and such. Most of this money will go to trying to prop up these companies for sustainability, but given their uncompetitive wage and production costs it simply can't be done. That money will be wasted. And it's money that could go to use in more helpful ways.
