  1. The whole pink lips thing is kinda disorienting...
  2. Bob Dylan - It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) I can't believe I'm the first person to suggest a Bob Dylan song.
  3. I still love the Office. You all are too quick to jump off the ship, nothing but a bunch of nonbelievers...
  4. No doubt legal, but it was a painful moment for everything, not to mention the fact that the hit was replayed at least 15 times...
  5. I missed the broadcast but thanks to the above link I am once again I'm blown away. Since I got their EP a little after it came out, I can at least say I was into them before they got "big"...I'm so indie.
  6. Congrats to the Steelers. Flacco was horrid today, I didn't expect him to be that bad. Now I have a pick streak of 0 on ESPN... McGahee is apparently moving, so that is good. Vibes to him, that was a wicked blow.
  7. Arguably, Gruden only won the Super Bowl because of the pieces Dungy left, but I think firing Gruden is weak. He's been solid. Too much overturn in the NFL right now.
  8. the Clash - London Calling Wilco - Being There the Beatles - A Hard Day's Night Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea George Harrison - All Things Must Pass Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited the Band - Music from Big Pink Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago Something like that. The really big one is London Calling, I would be listening to shit for music if it weren't for that album. And I could name a whole slew of Beatles albums, but I think A Hard Day's Night is the first Beatles album I really "got."
  9. Dungy is not a man of this earth. He is paranormal in his awesome-ness, and I have the greatest of respect for him as a coach and a man.
  10. Well, he has maybe half the power of Beanie, which is why we see so many no to short yard gains where Beanie would have gotten like 5 yards. I feel like Boom is a much faster back than Beanie was, and to run him up the middle like that isn't going to work as well. At least Boom has played well recently, perhaps enough to make his name feared in Ann Arbor within a year or two . And, I mean, he can't be worse than MoWells, right? Lose 5 yards before gaining 7...I mean, seriously...
  11. Doesn't even matter. The mere possibility is mindblowing enough. I could, like, be their fuckin' roadie and it would be the best thing ever.
  12. The Beatles. I don't think there can be any discussion on this matter.
  13. Not sure, but I know of another reasonable way to play it...if I muster up the effort I can put it up later.
  14. Congratulations to the Ravens. Ed Reed for MVP? Oh, wait, it's too late for that.
  15. I don't think I made my point clear. Same defensive schemes, general offenses scheme. When I meant system, I didn't mean the management. I meant, like, the actual football stuff, playing the game. If it makes it easier to find a GM, reportedly Mangini recommended the Ravens chief personnel dude as a good candidate. While Mangini may be responsible, he's not the biggest factor for the Jets' collapse. That's kinda my point.
  16. I have thought about this, and The Band's version of "Don't Do It" (especially from the Rock of Ages record) comes pretty damn close to being the best song ever.
  17. I've heard that RAC isn't staying around, but it wouldn't be a bad thing if he did stick around. If he's not staying with the Browns, he'll definitely get picked up by someone else. I don't think Mangini wanted Favre in the first place. He was a burden from the start, and Chad Pennington played extremely well this year, which makes me wonder what the Jets management was thinking when they took Favre. Granted, Pennington may not have done so well if he weren't traded away, but still, you have to wonder. While Mangini certainly made strange decisions in some of the games, I think it was
  18. Well, Mangini fits within the system, so that's a problem solved. He took the fall for the Jets' collapse (a la Mets?), so he's not really as bad as everyone makes him out to be. Though I've still got reservations, I'm more than hopeful that the Browns will get somewhere with him. It is a nice sort of deal that it's a "homecoming" thing for Mangini, too.
  19. I think this assessment is right. Offense (namely, quarterbacks) gets the attention of the media, and that's what the Big 12 had this year, so they were "good." Surprisingly, the conferences that didn't get any attention (e.g. ACC, Big East, even the Big Ten) had a surprising amount of depth this year (who would have expected Northwestern to go to a bowl?). While bowl records don't necessarily show that, but the conferences that no one expected to put up any fights put up quite the fight. Change a couple plays, maybe, and some conferences (especially the Big 10) would not have lackluster b
