Its one of the best shows I've ever seen. I've seen them three times now. The Transmissions tour, the Soft Bulletin Tour and Yoshemi. Its almost indescribable. Its passionate, crazy, hilarious and amazingly loud. The first time I used cigarette butts as earplugs. Its like being a kid in an adult body. I think I'm gushing at this point, but its incredibly fun.

I think this 1st round pick success demon is why Detroit didn't have a chance to get Cutler. No one wants that 1st pick hanging around their neck. Detroit has a better chance getting struck by lightning than getting this draft right. And even with a decent draft, we're years away from being a viable franchise. Even Cutler wasn't going to change that.

Every damn night I smoke a cigarette before I go to bed and this neighbor's black cat walks right in front of me. Every night. Essentially I'm problemless, but if these trips across my path are adding up to some zenith of doom, me and that cat are having words. And by words I mean I'm gonna "relocate" it.

This was a topic this morning that people around work were talking about. With the Final Four here in Detroit, the Tiger's home opener next week, the NHL playoff soon, and the NBA playoffs around the corner. What do you do? Anything? I'll admit to one (although there are a few others I won't admit to): I always start a beard opening day of the Tiger's season. When it becomes clear they aren't going to the playoff, I shave it. In 2006 I looked like the Unabomber.

The thing I'm excited about is on virtually any given night, between now and October, I have something to watch. No matter what, more than likely, there will be a game on. Cold beer, baseball, a good dog and I'm a happy man. My favorite time of year.
