That's one of two enduring images I have of him in my mind. The other is that sinister clapping thing at the end of the Live and Loud thing on MTV. That look he has in his eyes and then his face just goes blank and he walks off stage. That was/is just haunting.

The last show I saw of them was The State Fairgrounds in Detroit. One of those huge, old hangar type buildings. 1993. Absolutely blistering performance. I had never seen and haven't seen since a band that raw and intense. Kurt's voice was perfect. Must have had good monitors. I was front row, on the barrier getting crushed. I still have a scar on my stomach from that night. It was a roar of sound. Literally a fucking roar for an hour an a half. I will never forget that show. I was buying a pair of Converse when I heard he died. They were playing the news on the radio in the store

I bought it, listened to it once and have never put it on again. I could do without Digital Ash too. He has gotten more consistent and far less annoying in his singing style. I really dig Wide Awake, Cassadaga, and the "solo" record. But Lifted is shit. I won't listen to it again. It'll sit in that "seconds" pile until I take it to the record store with the rest of my records soon to be in a used bin.

I'd actually blame the rabbit. My guess is that it is for the same reason that commercials are at a louder volume than regular programming. I think, for whatever reason, commercials are broadcast at a stronger frequency. Even if its digital.
