Should we just merge the election thread and the SNL thread?

Our house is the same way. We bought it 3 years ago (new construction) and they are selling the exact same floorplan but with upgrades like a bigger kitchen, upgraded master bath, etc for about $40K less than what we paid. It really sucks. There's a house that forclosed down the street. It's about 700 square foot bigger than our house, and a year newer selling for $23K less than what we paid for ours.

So is it pronounced Warshington or Washington?

I think that with Obama backing out on Friday, they had a lot of rearranging to do. They were also supposed to have Chuck Norris do a cameo but he also backed out. Sounds like there was a lot of last minute scrambling going on.

Does anyone else have a feeling that Al Qaeda isn't going to like Sarah Palin very much? Not that they'd really like anyone who's elected, but especially her.

This country doesn't need another Kwame Kilpatrick.

I've thought about sending that pic to my mom along with a fake news story about how he's all for protecting smoker's rights in an effort to get her to vote for him.

No doubt.

Not too long ago (back when people were deciding to run) I was talking to my son about the candidates and I told him that I really liked Obama and hoped that he would run for president. I also told him that I didn't think McCain was a bad choice for the republicans and if there HAD to be a republican president, he wouldn't be all that bad, after all, he was different from the rest of the republicans. Wow, has he changed since then even.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Michael W Smith, Amy Grant, and Stephen Curtis Chapman...

What's the price of gas where you are?

Our governor gave a press conference last night about the gas prices. Prices have gone down about 10 cents since that. -

My mom called me and asked if I needed gas in my car. She said my sister had called her from work and asked what was up with all the lines at the gas stations. She said it was a traffic jam at every station on her way to work. My mom went to the gas station about a mile away from my house to buy cigarettes and she said there was a big back up to get gas. It was $3.89 earlier today and now it's $4.09. She said in a town about 20 minutes west of where we live it's almost $6 a gallon! Jason paid $3.89 on his way home from work today. -
My son was almost 4 at the time. He watched it right along with us, but he didn't really get what was happening.

I didn't even hear about it until after the second plane hit. I was at work and one of our idiot IT guys comes running out of his office yelling something about the PLO trying to bomb the White House. I seriously thought he was joking and was waiting for the punchline. He told us all to go to cnn.com and by that time it was hard to get to the site because of all of the traffic. I called my dad and he was in tears and said he saw the 2nd plane hit live on tv. He was really freaked out, which really freaked me out. I've never seen my dad like that my whole life. I listened to a local mor

I'm still undecided. I'd love an iPhone but the phones would be another $70 each and the plan would end up being about $15 more a month. We get a discount through sprint because Jason works at the U of Michigan (13% off per month). We'd have to share about 1/2 the minutes we'd get through sprint and we'd lose the free calls to all of our family and most of our friends. I just wish we could get the iPhone through Sprint. It's such a bummer. I have a feeling we'll go with the instinct, but I still need to look into it a little more.

Thanks to the title of this thread, I have the song from Dora the Explorer stuck in my head...

I can get the Instinct for $129 after all the rebates. I'm not sure how much the service is. Jay said we'd be paying about $45 more per month than what we do now and I have no clue what we pay now but I think it's around $50-60. Currently, he has internet and unlimited text on his phone but I don't have any text and no internet. We're on the family plan with Sprint too. Can I get sprint service with an iPhone? I don't want to give that up because everyone we talk to has sprint and with the PCS to PCS it really saves on the minutes and the calls are free.

Jay and I are looking to get new cell phones. We'd like something that we can browse the web on, text, email, talk, etc. We were thinking about the Blackberry Curve but were told that they suck for browsing. Someone else recommended the Samsung Instinct, which looks pretty cool, but I don't know of anyone who has one to tell me how they like it. We'd really love an iPhone, but that's not in the picture right now. Any ideas, reviews, recommendations? We have sprint service, if that matters and would like the qwerty keyboard.

No, not meant as sarcasm.

But then you'd have someone who is socially unaware trying to schmooze foreign leaders. We don't need a president with no personality trying to get people on his side...

I'm pro-life I'm against the death penalty I'm against the war I wish everyone had quality healthcare. It's unfortunate kids are killed in child abuse. I support any programs designed to help children out of abusive situations. It's also unfortunate that mothers are killed by husbands. I also support any woman who has experience any sort of domestic violence to seek help. I also support any programs to help battered women. More kids die from a lack of vaccinations than from the vaccinations themselves. This is kind of a dumb argument. I support anti-bullying programs and en

I consider it to be an issue too. An issue we've talked about and talked about and argued about and called names about and talked about and debated about over and over and over and over and over. How about we talk about some of the other issues?
