Would everyone want Wilco to release more live albums?
froggie replied to justincolts's topic in Just A Fan
>i'd like them to allow sbd patches like they had a few years back these latest audio recordings from recent years sound damn good. why listen to the ONE official live album over and over when you can get good recordings (with audience ambience in it & the band ALLOWING to tape it) from lots of shows?. you can hear a new show pretty often in your own home and gives a sense of feeling of actually Being There (no pun intended, of course!) -
since the recent AM surge in the setlists i pulled the album out again last night and this tune struck me... what do you all think of it? the guitar licks are beautiful only played live once in 1995 as well

another problem with live CDs is that even though they can be great, once you listen to it, you know whats coming up the 2nd and 100th time you hear it. in wilco's case, with a new audience recording in your hands, be it from 1994 or 2007, its a new experience when you first hear it ( i dont play KT often for that reason), especially if you dont scan the setlist before you first play it. then comes the storage problem -
nice pics, donna!

i'm surprised with the lack of love with summerteeth and being there (and that bastard child album they had way back when). and with SBS... it gives the fake impression they hit a high in their career and are fading

funny story: my friend, who is a (shit-talking) big techno-head we were at the pub last year when Hey jude came on the jukebox: i started singing along with na-na-na-nah's.. him: whats this song? me: beatles him: oh yeah, i like the beatles me: really, whats your favourite song? him: aww, i cant remember the name of it ps: muzzle of bees -> here comes the sun. i was at my folks place and started playing Muzzle on my guitar and my mum said "oh, Here comes the sun!"

i got a simple one for wilco & nirvana the uncle tupelo song, That Year, has the same intro riff chords as Smells like teen spirit - and it came out earlier. is there something kurt never told us? -
