Ha ha! It would be hilarious if someone yelled out "SPACEJUNK" and then Jay played it.

This thread could be at the Ryan Adams Archive. Wilco uber alles!!! It is laughable that people have such strong anti-Bragg opinions on this issue. What others have said is true. Bragg had a fine career way before Wilco. He invited them to the project. He says that he has no hard feelings. Why is it so impossible to believe that he genuinely has no hard feelings? Wishing that he wasn't on the Mermaid songs baffles me. Do you really think the songs where he sings are pieces of shit? Or do you simply dislike him because of the Mermaid drama? It is obvious that he isn't the musician that Jeff

It is, as the 6 regular female posters say, a 'sausage fest'. Recently one of them started a 'Ladies Lounge' thread where they go to post things of a strictly XX interest. They are some good people, the Jay women. Wish there were more of 'em posting. I can understand why though...

True that. Except for my 10,031 posts, of course.

Mark is actually in the studio now along with Jay, Chris Masterson, Andrew DuPlantis and Dave Bryson working on the new album. Mark is playing keys and lap steel like he did on the most recent SV shows. He is a monster. Masterson and Spencer are a hell of a guitar attack.

Are you calling for an RAA-style filibuster of this thread?
-
Was it totally solo or was Mark Spencer with him? I saw Jay and Mark in Aug of '04 and I too was 'completely mesmerized and time stopped'. Great thread. I agree.

Not unusual to speak up at all. But to delete a thread because the poor musician is being criticized is childish. He's a musician not their momma. Closing a thread after it becomes monotonous and redundant, as is done here, is fine. Deleting it so that no evidence of crticism remains, as is done there, is incredibly immature. I don't know if I have ever seen anything more lame on the internet than 'filibustering'. "We'll keep those meanies from hurting Ryan!". If that kind of bullshit happened here, I'd be embarrassed. Thanks, mod/admins, for having 'good common sense'. If it is because it's

That was it. It was a show review thread and obviously discussion of the abrupt end ensued. I didn't read the original before it was deleted but the second one, also deleted, had many complaints that too many people were 'being mean to Ryan'. The original was deleted for similar reasons. Jaysus. The thread where his blog rant is discussed gets 'filibustered', RAA term not mine, meaning that to stop the disrespect of poor, flu-ridden Ryan, sycophants just start randomly posting all kinds of shit for pages and pages. Ha ha ha! Talk about needing a life. There is some awesome music available, t

http://www.ryanadamsarchive.com/showthread.php?t=12704 This is the 'walking pneumonia' thread where they discuss his blog rant that was posted on page 23 of this VC thread. "fuck this choose life" The RAA thread about the ATL show was deleted because many people complained about 'poor sick Ryan being unfairly criticized'. Wow.
-
I read the thread about the 'Choose life fuck this' blog, titled FOGGY walking pneumonia post. There are apparently many people with psychological problems that post at RAA. Many of them frighten me with there blind devotion/love for him. I have been a fan since the first Whiskeytown album but these freaks are pathetic. The worst elements of VC do not even compare to the flakes at RAA. Wow.

This next one is from our newwww album

Another example of the repackage thing. A few years back a double disc 'the complete budokan concert' or some such name came out. I snapped that up. Now this version1 Oy! The DVD sounds excellent, though... More money spent. -
I was at that show. Even though he talked about his voice from the get go, no one in my immediate vicinity, 8 rows back, noticed anything less than a fine voice. That doesn't mean that it didn't sound like shit to Ryan. The songs that we heard were freaking stellar. Band was tight and he was rockin', even though he kept talking about being sick and his voice. I thought that it had to be a joke and they'd come back out all ha ha ah. The rest of the Cardinals looked shell-shocked when he said, 'that's it'. The guy is allowed to be sick but if he was as sick as he says in the blog then he shoul

You might also consider picking up 'Must I paint You A Picture?' It is a 2 disc with a bonus disc Bragg retrospective. A great primer covering all phases of his career. The 2 mentioned above are great also.

HA! I can hear whichever McCain campaign worker that 'hired' Joe now saying to him, "You did a real dick job, Joe".
-
I wished for 2 things while watching the debate. I wanted Obama to directly ask MCain this, "John, do you believe that I 'pal around with terrorists'?" If McCain had said, "No" then I wanted Obama to say, "Then John, can you please explain to the electorate why you allow your running mate to accuse me of palling around with terrorists". He was cool enough to pull it off. I didn't want him to but i thought how awesome it would have been if out of nowhere Obama said, "John, I have to say that you are a creepy looking motherfucker. What do you think, Bob?".

If they play Come Pick Me Up, Elizabeth will die. If we miss it, I will, albeit by her hand. I am so excited!! These setlists/reviews from ya'll have been incredible. Must devise scheme to leave work an hour earlier than planned...

Seriously? No bullshit, trying to rile me, etc.? You can't imagine a scenario where the candidate that supports your ideology is so distasteful to you in integrity and/or similar factors that you realize that the 'other' candidate is better for the country and therefore more deserving of your vote other than one where you are 'promised riches and lots of sex'? edit> sorry for the run on quasi-sentence. -

That makes sense. This may sound like I am dense but you are saying that you could see yourself voting for the ideology opposite yours under the right circumstances? -

Does anyone deny the possibility that they could find the candidate that is in line with their ideology so distasteful due to a perceived lack of integrity, intelligence, stability, etc. that they would feel as though voting for the 'other party candidate' with a perceived integrity, intelligence, stability, etc. 'sits better in their gut' as far as the country's best interests are concerned? I am not saying that every McCain voter should feel this way. I am just asking if anyone thinks that such a scenario is impossible for them. If the answer is yes, that is what is difficult for myself, and -
I appreciate it. That is good news. Our goal is to be early enough to check in at the hotel first. It is only 1.5 miles from the venue. Their website saying 'an evening with the Cardinals starts betwen 8-9' was making us nervous.

Touche'. and well played. I admitted in a later post that the 'crazy' characterization I used was an exaggeration. -

How can you not understand someone feeling that in certain circumstances their ideology is trumped by their patriotism, i.e. their belief that one candidate is better for the country in general? It is a simple concept. -
My wife and I are driving to the Atlanta show Friday and will probably arrive around 8PM, possibly a bit later if we are unlucky. The tickets say the show starts at 8:30. Those of you that have seen shows this tour, when have they been taking the stage? Early, on time, late? I'd appreciate the information. Thank you
