Despite my earlier post, Analogman has a point. This thread was created to discuss the use of a Wilco song in a film. If you want to debate religion in general, it would make sense to go to a thread dedicated to that. Clearly, some of you love to try and rile one another. The maturity level appears low.

Isn't 'Just A Fan' the appropriate place for a thread about a Wilco song appearing in a movie? Of course it is. There seems to be so much posted that is thinly-veiled adversarial falderal. If I could find a betting parlor that would take book on the likelihood of specific posters posts being replied to by other specific posters no matter the thread's subject matter, I'd be able to afford to have Bill Maher and Wilco play my back garden. I too am religious, work hard and prefer positive and hopeful people. But I also want my leaders to be the smartest people in the room. I also want them to show it if they truly are rather than to hide their intellectual light under a 'kitchen table' bushel.

I'd love to see this show. I also love Van and like what he has been doing the last 20 years. For me, he is an incredible artist and is one of the few from the 60s-70s that has remained relevant. There are some amazing songs on his albums from the mid 80s on.
