Well, yes. her fans frighten me because they cannot tell me why they like her. I appreciate that she's a looker, and she's probably incredibly capable, i mean I couldn't shoot and gut a moose, I can't even change a tire, but i bet she can. I am willing to bet there are a lot of things about her that are actually quite appealing and able to do all kinds of stuff, that no one even knows about because she instead is being trotted out for a position she is in no way qualified for and yet her fans cannot tell us why she is qualified.

i'm afraid that as much as I wanted to, i could not participate. I am reading too much for grad school to read for pleasure. maybe in March when i'm DONE. But i'm glad everyone read Devil in the White City because that is a great book.

I think the question of "where do you get your information that shapes your world view" is perfectly valid. It was asked because it is not clear that she is in touch with much of anything worldly. If Obama had asked AJ Pierzinski (sp, sorry sox fans--writing on the fly here) to be his Vice President, I am sure the same question would be asked of him.
