  1. Good news: we have rectified that situation.
  2. I wonder if that pharmacy fills other prescriptions like for fertility, and virility, baldness, etc.
  3. Hey, all the power to them. I'd rather have the Mercy Day Pharmacy or whatever it is called doing "god's work" than have my pharmacy (CVS or Rite Aid) deny my birth control because the pharmacist on duty has an issue with it. PS. this is in our county.
  4. I knew Ric Menck way back when.
  5. You know what makes me crazy? Discovering that your husband has an empty drawer in his clothes bureau. EMPTY!
  6. Oh yes, sorry. If McCain's platform is more closely aligned to your beliefs, and yes, you should vote for McCain. I mean, it is your future too. If you truly believe that McCain is better than the other guy, then McCain is who you vote for.
  7. So I don't get it. The Elite group actually ran slower than they usually would because they were just running against the times of the other people in the Elite group? I mean, 11 minutes is like a lifetime. How is it that this woman ran that much faster than the professional runners?! Unless they were mailing it in, figuring that no one would beat their lackluster times?
  8. The way you move third party candidates into the system is from the bottom up, not the top down. get some school board people elected, maybe city council, maybe a state rep and as those people make names for themselves then the third party system is legitimized. having recently been involved with the election of a green party candidate to city council, I know it can be done. I find it hard to believe that Ralph Nader is the best the green party can come up with. He's not a legitimate candidate, he's just the person you vote for, knowing he can't possibly win, in order to try to make a statem
  9. Did you say that with your hand on your hip just then?
  10. It would be great if you could vote for the person who best represents your point of view, and of course people can do that, but it is actually smarter and better in the long run if you vote for someone who 1. has a chance of being elected and 2. is better than the other guy running. Because those really are your choices for the future. Throwing your vote to unelectable third party candidates hasn't made third party candidacy any more viable, except on the very very local level. It really doesn't send a message to the two big parties that they need to change. Is it a great system? No, but
  11. Yes. His wallet is nice and neat, but that's about it. Oh actually, he keeps the kitchen really clean.
  12. Yeah, he's not worried about wasting money, just about it being in the wrong order and/or crumpled.
  13. If it makes you feel better--Obama Biden signs have been springing up in our neighborhood like mushrooms.
  14. The Orioles loving lawyer in our office says that the games in Tampa aren't even sold out. Is that true? Does anyone know?
  15. sometimes when caliber is bugging me I will crumple all the money in my wallet, and make it go all different ways. You can see him visibly tremble.
  16. Do you really think so? As more people lose their houses and jobs, they will want less government help? I mean, even rightwingers are suffering in this economy and it is probably going to take more than McGruber, a bobbypin and three pieces of juicy fruit to get people back up on their feet. And do you think that the right will be ok with gay marriage (that's staying out of people's business) and unfettered abortions if McCain doesn't win the election? Or did I misunderstand the question?
  17. I can't believe Joe Buck just inferred that the whole cowbell thing at the Trop "it kind of caught on and now everyone brings them." Hello? You mean to tell me those things aren't given out just in the past few weeks? They are all blue with stars of Bethlehem on them.
  18. yeah, i first read that as "we'd stick our hand in the boxers" and i thought "oh my!"
  19. I don't want to jinx anything here, but Virginia is on the brink of voting a democrat into the white house for the first time since 1964. i am sure it is not a coincidence that caliber and i just happened to move here this year. hm? you're welcome.
  20. Me too. I'd like the Red Sox to meet Joe Torre in Wrigleyville for a beer. It is about time you people starting buying baseball tickets to your teams.
  21. i just got in invite to an event here in VA on Wednesday. I wonder if it is being canceled.
  22. I am not sure an onion lager would taste very good.
