did your power cord come in the mail? There wasn't anything else in the box was there?

i appreciated reading the backstory, but i think that the backstory could have been its own book, and a really awesome book at that.

i would love to be a fly on the wall during dinner at Discovery Channel Team's table tonite. What will happen tomorrow??! Levi said he wasn't going to chase down Evans, but how can he not try to move up? Won't Cadel try to move up on Alberto?

i think those scenes will translate well to the film, but in the book--not so much. Same with all the yackity yack especially from dumbledore. I am in the process of rewriting the final book, taking out all the exposition and back story regarding Tom Riddle, and Dumbledore and turning it into a prequel that would be released (in my time machine) after Goblet of Fire. I will post it here first.

Questions about flying on airplanes

Sarah, if you do decide to carry on all your stuff, make sure you tell the person at the gate desk (where you'll board the plane) that you'll need to board with the first wave (people who need extra help or time getting down the jetway, first class etc) because you'll want to make sure you get your seat and your bag safely tucked above you. People start lining up early for whatever reason and if you're not careful you end up being the last one on the plane and there's no room for your bag. -

once you go thru security at one airport, you don't need to go thru security at any other airport unless you leave the airport. So you only need to do it once on the way out and once on the way back. I say check a bag. Knock on wood, i've been flying since i was 20 and always take a cheap flight so it means changing planes and terminals etc and have never had a bag lost or even delayed. -
i can do stairs. I'm actually quite mobile. It is the pillow fights and doing each other's hair that i might have to bow out of.

i just rolled my eyes so hard they sprained.

i thought this book was one of McCarthy's weakest. I was woefully underimpressed. It was as if the book was being written as a screenplay, knowing it would be bought and turned into a movie. I want to know when someone is going to make a film of Suttree, or Outer Dark or the Orchard Keeper.

What happened to the phoenix? what side were the spiders on? how freaking queer was that ending, all tied up in a neat little package of love? I guess we're to assume Luna and Neville are married?

tuesday it is, then. i will take you up on your offer to spend the night kate. The city will just have to soldier on without me that night.

here's what i carry on (if i'm checking a bag and i'm not sure i get thru five days without checking a bag but i'm a clothing whore) iPod book magazine medications lip balm tiny bottle of lotion blackberry charger laptop. The key here is MEDICATION. if you take any, make sure you keep it with you at all times. Just throw it in your quart sized ziplock baggie with your other little toiletries. I basically throw everything i'm carrying on into that zip lock bag so as not to cause trouble at the checkpoint. I wear layers on the plane because you cannot ever be sure what the temp is going to b -

I have been involved in several different CSAs and i've introduced Ninjas to it this year. We do get stuff we don't know what to do with but that's mostly in the spring when its all crazy assed leafy greens. Once we get into tomators and cukes and stuff i'll be happier. Living in a city the way we do, i think its important to support whatever agriculture comes your way. This year's CSA is actually housed on a non-profit community farm, and run by two 20 somethings who do organic and lots of heirloom stuff and every week send out an email with recipes for the different stuff they offered the da
