i haven't heard anything about where the ticket drop went down. buuuut i have a sneaking suspicion that wilco might play at maggie mae's at the paste party tonight. i doubt it will actually happen but it would be pretty awesome if it did! i mean, they're not doing anything tonight and the paste party acts are "secret" so you don't find out until you get there and someone goes on stage. last night joseph arthur and the lonely astronauts, manchester orchestra, willy mason, and ben lee all played. i know none of those acts are as big as wilco but that was just friday night. i'm sure saturday n

heyyy for those of you that i promised to mail this show to, i'm still planning on it! it was sent to me at the wrong address and i just found out today that the replacement hasn't gone out in the mail yet. it's supposed to be mailed tomorrow so i should hopefully get it tuesday or wednesday. i'll make the copies and mail them out ASAP! i just didn't want you all to think i flaked on you

the ticket drop could be anywhere from midnight friday night to noon on saturday....who knows? it is being announced on the radio sometime between 8-11 pm on friday. you have to REALLY want to go to these tapings...they make it kind of tough sometimes. and for all we know, since there are going to be several ticket drops going on, it might NOT be at the communications building like it usually is. they might spread them out for crowd control.

i'm not sure that it is my favorite spoon album but it's definitely one of the top 3 of the year for me. i saw them right after it came out and the performance was sub par compared to all the other times i've seen them. it was still a good show but not as good as usual. hopefully they've fixed whatever the problem was. maybe it was just playing all the new songs live? i dunno.

wise choice! i'm not crazy about the venue but spoon is fun pretty much anywhere. i've seen them there before and i had a great time. you shouldn't be disappointed!

i'm seeing these guys again on thursday and friday. i can't wait! i always have so much fun at their shows. i highly recommend seeing them live.

just because they've canceled a tour doesn't mean anything about the future of the band. i mean, it's a total possibility for any band to break up any day, but i hope we don't all sit around freaking out about that. i know i don't.

a few years ago the only way to convert itunes files to mp3 was to burn them onto a cd and import them back onto your computer. sounds a like a huge pain the ass to me. surely by now there is a better way? however, apple is pretty good about restricting what you can do with a song that you PAID for. that's so annoying!

you'll probably need to email stubbs or frontgate tickets with that question. or if you wait, i'm sure they'll make some sort of announcement about it. i'm sure they're trying to fill sunday night at stubb's as well as the festival time slot that the stripes left open.

i thought the exact same thing when i read "proctober" i wish they could have gotten rid of farnsworth(less) instead.

i was told the noise curfew was later on the weekends. i've definitely been at shows at stubb's on a saturday that went well past 11. probably close to 1.

yeah, they're not really "after shows" because they start while the festival is still going on. if the doors are at 8 then i would presume music is at 9 and there isn't an opener listed. but i don't know why it is so early. maybe bob has an early bedtime.

i have too! i was in philadelphia in july and my cab driver drove around for like 45 minutes trying to get me somewhere and then tried to charge me for the entire time! i'm not going to pay you for getting LOST in your own city.

yeah, jorge isn't really hitting with any more power than past seasons, he's just getting better hits. his son is healthy, he's even more patient at the plate, and this is his contract year so he really has something to prove. i think those things are contributing to his great season, not steroids.
