I don't think there's anything lame about that. He's a powerful speaker, powerful enough to motivate those celebrities to put song under a brilliant speech. Yes. We. Can. -
To me this song is all about simplicity. I think a lot of times we can get caught up in thought, and we sit, and think, and sit, and think some more, and in our thought we manage not to simplify things, but to complicate them further. What Tweedy is trying to say here is that the situation doesn't need more any more thought, it needs to be let go, because, " There's so much less/To this than you think." I think in most cases there is a lot less to the situation than we think. As individuals we tend to make a bigger deal of bad situations as the rear their ugly heads. We forget about the long

I'm going to William and Mary next year for school, I hope they play there again!

Thanks for the help, I just burned a whole lotta shit from KTV and threw, LNGCA (lets not get carried away ) in there for good measure. It's not that important that they fall in love with it, but in my mind liking wilco is inevitable, might as well smooth the transition everybody see's the light eventually... ... somebody respond: "what light?"

So this past Sunday i met my girlfriends friends while we watched the giants game. They're really cool bunch, but the dudes are all metal heads. They asked me what my favorite band was, and right as i was about to respond, the jetta commercial featuring Walken comes on. I said that the band playing right now, Wilco, was my favorite band, and they laughed. I told them it wasn't the best example of a wilco tune (it had to fit a fucking jetta commercial...), and that they can rock if the want to (somebody replied, "they're rocking me to sleep right now") So if you were in my shoes and had to

thats my predicament, i teach a theory class to my peers every friday, and when i play them my own songs they keep telling me how much i'd like radiohead, they burned me a CD and i got a headache from all the dissonance the best musician i ever knew, he graduated last year, listened to nothing but classical music and radiohead i tried really hard to like them, but i couldn't do it

I find myself listening to kicking TV more than anything else. AGIB was disappointing to me, but they rock it so hard live its like a whole new album. I think jesus ect and via chicago are better in the studio version tho

the harmonica solo in his solo version at the lounge ax is my favorite

Everytime wilco plays a show in the tri state area its sells out almost immediately, i live in NJ, and have managed to see them only once

same thing happened to me with "less than you think." I was sorta wrapped up in thought and thinking more was making it worse. My ipod was on shuffle and went to that song. It was a crazy coincidence, cuz there was a lot less to the situation than i thought

I always thought Screen Door was his first song... he doesn't play that one either.

yeah i saw that, it made me smile says something about MTV tho, they rate SBS #1 but don't even have a picture of the artist to put on the website

Being 17 the first thing i remember on MTV was n'sync and the spice girls (before they came back) mtv always sucked for me, however i do remember them playing music videos if i was ever home sick in like elementary school oh pop culture
