yeah maybe. i also found this there, i don't know if this is old news or not, but i think its a video that goes along with the KT version of KT http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?artist=1160&vid=69283

    MTV?

holy shit, that was... odd the entire list is entirely unlike MTV, it was a great review of the record tho i'm still confused
  3. i've actually never taken a good listening too it live, but i think the studio version is just phenomenal it would make a good wedding song, i'd have to take a closer look at the lyrics tho, " Please don
  4. lol Hey, no one else was going there, so i did. it was toooooo easy
  5. He takes all his words from the books that you don't read anyway.
  6. That was awesome! Thanks for posting it. ...makes me want to cover that tune, what a lady killer And don't take the criticism to heart, I don't know what your motive behind covering the tune was, but it's not like you were trying to sell it or something
  7. my first wilco show was amazing, the crowds are chill; it's not a crazy hectic scene (all wilco fans are nice people) I would go, it's a life changing experience, friends are nice, but hell i'd go see tweedy and the boys by myself any day. I have the exact opposite problem I want to go see them play at the Tower Theater in PA with my girlfriend, but my mom is making me bring my younger brother, he's a sophmore in high school so it's not like i'm bringing a middle schooler, but i mean still, give me a break ma you can just have my brother, win-win!
  8. Hey OP, i like your name, it's my first name in the real world
  9. http://frontrowbootlegs.blogspot.com/ ^when i try to download those files, i get an invalid quick key error, anyone else getting it: "The quickkey you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire." is there anyway i could still get it, it sounds like an amazing show
  10. In case anyone's wondering, I went with: The best song will never get sung The best life never leaves your lungs So good you won't ever know You can't hear it on the radio Because I liked it too much. I really do appreciate everyone's opinion though, it helped.
  11. These are all really good lines, Tweedy's quite the senior quote writer. For all the other seniors on the board, where are you guys looking for school? I sent my ED application to william and mary a week ago, i get the decision back on december 1st, i'm so nervous. On a different note, we have until Wednesday to pick the quote, the deadline got pushed back.
  12. thanks a lot guys, this is helping out a lot, I want something that will still mean some thing 10 years down the road, so some of you older folks, help me out here So as of now it looks like the front runners are (the ones i like) where would we be without wishful thinking? Lets turn our prayers Into outrageous dares And mark our page In a future age What you once were isn't what you want to be anymore Music is my savior, but I was maimed by rock and roll Every moment's a little bit later nothing'severgonnastandinmyway (again) I'll see you all again on your long journey to the
  13. So for some reason my school is making all the seniors turn in their senior quotes early, I'm guessing it's for yearbook purposes. I want my quote to be a Tweedy quote, but there are so many good ones, I don't know what to choose. I'm hoping you guys could help me out and post lines you think might make good senior quotes, I'll take the ones I like and make a poll, and then you guys can vote. I'll start with a line I thought would make a good senior quote: "Where would we be without wishful thinking?"
  14. via chicago does not miss any online video that uses a wilco song as background music... no matter how obscure.
  15. I considered Either Way, thats a great one to get over shit with.
  16. What two tunes has Jeff written that you think sum up your love life right now. Some of us may write I'm Always in Love while others write IATTBYH (lets hope not to frequently Via Chicago, "I dreamed about..."), in either case music can be oddly personal at times. I'll start, being that I'm getting over a breakup that seems to follow me like a shadow I'm going to go with: On and On and On and How to Fight Loneliness Your turn.
  17. I'd love a copy, bela fleck is nuts(in a good way) that issue looks really cool I'll send you a PM
  18. No i was just listening to that song, I felt inspired to write in on the forums. It's a great stanza however. Tweedy was fairly influenced by old neiler. I have a few recordings of looking for a lover preformed by tweedy. And a version of everyone knows this is nowhere from the Uncle Tupelo days. I think farrar was the bigger neil young fan between the two. Edit: looking for a lover not lost love, sorry
  19. Love lost, such a cost Give me things that won't get lost Like a coin that won't get tossed Rolling home to you Name the author!
  20. All the official albums Wilco has made, including kicking television, can be abbreviated (because they're two words, everyone knows you can't abbrev. one word) except for summerteeth AM BT YHF SBS KT AGIB However the track on the album that summerteeth is named after is two words, summer teeth, and can properly abbreviated as ST, which is conspicuously the correct abbreviation of jeff tweedy's solo DVD Sunken Treasure. Summerteeth could have been summer teeth and have had a proper abbreviation... but no Jeff tweedy has to make a one word album! And to further prevent us from abbreviating
  21. That's a really cool idea. I'll definitely pick it up. I always wanted to double major in psychology and theory in college so that I could write a paper discussing the scientific reasons why the Beatles were so successful. I thought this was funny: One day in history class we were discussing the rise of elvis, watching some sort of documentary on it. Some lady was talking about how the music moved her; she said: "It just made me feel happy!" Listening to all elvis's stuff, It's all just I-IV-V chords over and over again. Essentially it was all three major or "happy" chords played over and ov
  22. I hear they all took theory courses at the age of 122 nanoseconds...
