  1. Oh great catch there! I missed that pairing (separated by the intermission break). I think the power drill that Glenn left running when he walked off was a ryobi for all you power tool gear heads out there.
  2. Is it just me, or is there some kind of "white-out" thing happening over part of "Dostoevsky's" in this post? Has VC finally cracked the code on early 70's typewriter correction fluid? I kinda miss a good white-out correction these days. Not the stripe-y tape kind, the real brush-in-a-bottle kind that you had to blow on before typing over it. Is this just a UK thing or can we use it here in garbage-land? Did you have to blow on the screen first? So many questions...
  3. Sorta. It was fundraising for Harris / Walz. But it was advertised, and ticketed thru live nation. It was at the Fillmore in SF. They also had a $1000 dinner ahead of it (also advertised - a bit too rich for me). The show itself was seated with small tables set up inside the Fillmore, rather swanky. It was an acoustic set with several requests from the audience. Short, maybe 75 minutes. Very fun, loose set.
  4. Kind of an old midwestern / hillbilly joke. “I’ve (they’ve) got summer teeth …. Some are missing and some are not”
  5. Jayhawks... in my very own town!
  6. Shortly after Nels joined the band, Nels and Glenn did a little solo-duo tour that brought them here to Lexington which is where Glenn went to college. It was not long after Mobile, and Glenn played all of Monkey Chant along with some other amazing things. There were crickets. Nels somehow made incredible sounds with a plastic toy guitar and a box fan with one fan blade missing. They each played a set alone then one together. No Wilco tunes; just amazing sounds. Seeing these guys in a non-Wilco setting was mind blowing.
  7. Low Cut Connie (again). This time at my very favorite venue (The Burl) in my very own city (Lexington). Still gonna schvitz I'm sure. So. Much. Fun.
  8. Low Cut Connie. Outdoors. There will be Schvitzing.
  9. The fb group (a private group - must be “approved” to join) is called A Shot in the Arm and has 12k members. It’s weird in that even though you have to use your real name (as opposed to here where you usually have anonymity), the trolling and bitching are just bananas. Kinda like here back when things were obnoxious as hell like 15-20 years ago. VC actually seems like it’s the grown up table and fb is where the bratty kids (5%) and the fanboys (25%) hang out and collide on a regular basis while the majority just kinda watches. VC seems to have actual discussion. WHO KNEW?
