  2. I have to say that was one of hell of a show. Great energy and the crowd was surprisingly well behaved. Hope this set gets a Roadcase release. After so many shows I believe this was one of the most fun for me and the acoustic encore was perfect. I've got some good video - Passenger, Shot and Space Oddity that I'll post at some point. Cheers y'all
  3. I think once he got rid of Heywood and the Boquist brothers Jay has yet to capture what most of us liked years ago. I'm a big fan but was pretty disappointed when I saw SV a couple of years ago. Said 3 words and pretty much ignored his back catalog. Windfall, Drown and Tear Stained Eye (which are classics IMHO). Everything else from the new one which are slow depressing numbers. I know he's not Tweedy but acknowledge the fans like every other artist does. I've just been able to listen again. A little rant because they were so good. And came off as a jerk referring to tweedy as the 'bass p
  4. Anyone heard what day the boys are playing? May 9 or 10.
  5. I got 2 little kids who love it. So there.
  6. Awesome show and Jeff was hilarious. Not sure if Radio King was on the setlist but when I yelled it out he started playing. Sure it was a coincidence but Anyway that made me happy. Tried to get him to play monkey mess which he responded 'that's a deep deep cut'. Glad I got to see Jeff and Spencer play. I would love to hear a recording just for the F*ck Encores part at the end. Dude cracks me up.
  7. getting pumped for the show tonight. merch question. are they selling concert posters & t shirts? thanks
  8. I enjoy reading Hyden's articles on Grantland. Good writer.
  9. Here's the best article I've read on the WoD. Sounds like this album took a lot out of Adam. http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/the-war-on-drugs-gets-ready-to-play-the-big-rooms/
  10. yea that was an amazing show. going to california was a highlight. go see them if you can. david is probably the best guitar picker i've seen.
  11. John Paul Jones playing with The Machine
  12. Yea harrow was a bit spotty but Hard Times is one of my favorite GW songs. Hope to hear some of her tunes at the show.
  13. would be sweet if chris thile is one of the punch brothers joining them. should be a great show.
  14. Anyone know all the players joining Dave and Gillian? Here's what the website says...."Featuring members of Gillian Welch, Punch Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and a former member of Old Crow Medicine Show, the Fall 2013 Machine will provide a night of distinctive picking, high lonesome songs, and many other fine acoustic entertainments." John Paul Jones would be the Zep member. Got my ticket for the Atlanta show.

  17. Any ideas on how to find this Wilco sticker (see attached) of a Guitar and recycling symbol? Not available at the Kung Fu store. Thanks.
  18. Thanks! Security made me take my camera back to the car so one of the 40 iphone photos turned out thank goodness. Asked why and they told me Dylan said so. Weir seems like a cool cat playing with MMJ and Wilco.
  19. Awesome show last night. Dark California Stars was quite amazing. Security was really tight in the pit so all I could manage was this photo. First time seeing MMJ and was blown away. Weir sounded great and Dylan was good but after Wilco and Jacket blasting their set it was a bit of a come down.
  20. Great show last night. I'm a sucker for any A.M. songs.

  22. I'd recommend the Yo Gabba Gabba soundtrack as well as the show. The album has songs from the Roots, Of Montreal, Mark Kozolek, Shins, Biz Markie, Chromeo, and others. That show is crazy. Other than that, you can't go wrong with Dan Zanes who puts on one heck of a live show as well. My 6 and 4 yr old both like Avett Bros, Jenny Owens Young, Wilco A.M and Wilco (the song), She and Him, M Ward, Willie Nelson and a little Doc Watson so far. The first line of Shotgun Willie crack the little ones up every time. Also check out Jerry Garcia and David Grisman's Not for Kids Only. There's some fi
  23. Happy Friday. Here's a bunch of live sets circa 1996 from the hard core troubador. My link Saw him play some sweet acoustic shows with kelly willis a bunch of years ago and the man can pick. If I'm not mistaken, he did a short tour with a band a couple of years ago. Six Parts Seven or something like that, but yeah I'd like to see him with some backing musicians. Thanks for keeping the thread alive.
  24. Found a couple of articles. Looks like he was driving a forklift and working a road crew near Beacon NY. My link And here's the link to the Daytrotter Session from March. My link
  25. Devotion + Doubt is fantastic. In my all time top 10.
